Third Day
SUGGESTED READING: Isaiah 6:1-8
In the year King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up ; and his train filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim; each had six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two covered his feet and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory." And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called and the house was filled with smoke. And said "Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of host!"
Then flew one of the seraphim to me, having in his hand a burning coal which he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin forgiven." And I heard a voice of the Lord saying, "whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here I am! Send me!"
SUGGESTED READ ING: Luke 5:3-11
Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon's, he asked him to put out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the people from the boat. And when he had ceased speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." And Simon answered, "Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets." And when they had done this, they enclosed a great shoal of fish; and as their ne ts were breaking, they beckoned to their partners in the boat to come and help the. And they came and filled both boats, so that they began to sink. But when Simon Peter saw t, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord." For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the catch of fish which they had taken; and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners of Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on y ou will be catching people!" And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him.
SUGGESTED READING: Revelation 1:1-8
Then, in my vision, I saw a door open in heaven and heard the same voice speaking to me, the voice like a trumpet, saying 'come up here: I will show you what is to take place in the future.' With that, I fell into ecstasy and I saw a throne standing in heaven, and the One who was sitting on the throne, and the One sitting there looked like a diamond and a ruby. There was a rainbow encircling the throne, and this looked like an emerald. Round the throne in a circle were twenty-four thrones, and on them twenty-four elders sitting, dressed in white robes with golden crowns on their heads. Flashes of lightning were coming from the throne, and the sound of peals of thunder, and in front of the throne there were seven flaming lamps burning, the seven Spirits of God. In front of the throne and around it, were four living creat ures all studded with eyes, in front and behind. The first living creature was like a lion, the second like a bull, the third living creature had a human face, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was studded with eyes all the way round as well as inside; and day and night they never stopped singing: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, the Almighty; who was, and is and is to come.

who lives and reigns
with the Father in the H oly Spirit,
one God forever and ever.
Amen.
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give use this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
