topic: Big Dipper Your Name or nick : 4564 topic : big dipper Comments or questions 1 : why doesnt the big dipper change? |
There are in fact variations in the Big Dipper. Just that they are so slight and we are so far away that it becomes unnoticeable to us when we look at it with our naked eye or even our home telescope. You would need to look through a large telescope such as there is at the Lick Observatory and then observe each star throughout several years to notice the change. Hope this has answered your question Starwatch |
