The word arse derives from the proper word ass, which we all know means donkey.
It is a well known fact that Jesus a humble man would not ride on a horse (which represents, pride and stealth) but chose to ride on an ass instead (representing humbleness and strength). Oftentimes people would gather around Jesus and kiss his feet and other times they would even kiss the donkey he rode on.
Hence should one call you an arse, bow and say thank you I am always pleased that my forefathers have served my master. |
