MassJCL chapters are encouraged to attend State Convention. There are numerous events that allow each delegate to test his skills. There is a graphic arts, creative art, athletic, and academic contests.
Chapters are no longer restricted to have a limited number of students in each event. Now each chapter can have as many delegates participate in each event. However, each delegate is restricted to only two creative contests. Delegates may enter as many atlethic, academic, and pre-convention contests as they wish. The top 5 scorers in each category will receive a ribbon. The top 3 scorers of each contest (i.e. academic, creative, graphic, and athletic) will receive a medal. The top 3 delegates who receive the most points and who have at least one ribbon in at least three of the four contest area will receive a trophy.
