ALGEBRA
FORMULAS:
Y INTERCEPT FORM:
    y = mx + b
    m simbolizes the slope and b is the y intercept. this formula is also called       the slope formula.  The letters y and x are the most common used                  variables in the algebra language.  Equations are when ever there is an           equal sign ( = ) . for example

Find the value of x and y if the slope is 2/3 . and the line is moved four           spaces up.

Now we know that the formula equation is y = mx + b
   It is easier if you have a visual of some sort as a grid.
                                                      y
x
And if the line is moved four spaces up then that would mean it would intercept from ( 0, 0 ) and four up
