About my student, C:
Stephanie has been a major help in understanding Calculus.  Before I had a lot of trouble with word problems.  Stephanie helped me break them down so that I could start to do them on my own.  In addition to helping me with word problems her tutoring has helped me prepare for the upcoming tests.  I appreciate the time I had with her and would recommend her to any person in need of math help.

Dear Stephanie,
Thank you for everything you have done for C.

About my student, D:
Stephanie’s skills and background have been invaluable in helping my son D.  He began the year with a D- in Algebra and was sure he would never understand it.  D. now has a B in his class and is far more confident in his abilities.  Since D. is a student with significant learning disabilities, it is always a challenge to motivate him and to find the proper instructional strategies that enable him to grasp abstraction.  Stephanie has done a wonderful job at both, and he is flourishing.  I am extremely impressed by her patience, skill and expertise.  I cannot recommend her enough.

About my student, M:
Stephanie has been a perfect fit in helping our son become accountable for following through with his Algebra/Trig work this semester.  Organizing his own time and efforts has always been a challenge for our son because of focus and follow through issues associated with ADD.  For him, she has functioned not only as a tutor, but as a “faculty coach” to make sure that daily and long-term assignments have been completed correctly and on time.  She has unfailingly held him accountable for understanding daily assignments by giving him immediate feedback, often by reviewing and critiquing scanned homework.
New teacher instruction at the high school was problematic this year, and many students were unable to bridge the gap between text, understanding, and concept mastery.  Stephanie was able to identify the areas where the breakdown was occurring and to tailor her instruction to specific problem areas.  She has demonstrated an easygoing professionalism that made it easy for our son to relate to and openly discuss the areas he needed assistance with.  We have great respect and gratitude for her patience and competence, and enthusiastically recommend her as an exemplary credentialed teacher/tutor.

Dear Stephanie,
Thank you for your fine work with M. this past semester.  You were very instrumental in improving him both in the subject that you were involved with and his general work at school.  He is not a finished product but there was movement…  He needed what you provided and I think he knows now he can improve but he has to work… Thank you again.

About my student, C:
Stephanie is an excellent math tutor.  She was able to help rescue a very difficult math year in Calculus for my son.  She was able to teach concepts that were eluding him in the way they were being taught by his HS [high school] teacher.  She went the extra mile and often put in extra time on her own to help (via email) on particularly difficult projects.  I highly recommend her as a tutor.  She is professional, well organized, always on time and has a wonderful attitude when interacting with our son.  She makes tackling a frustrating subject much easier by calmly breaking the task down and teaching him to work through the answer.   Thank you Steph!  I wish you taught at my son’s HS!

Hi Steph- Wanted to let you know that C. got a 740 on the math section of the SAT which is a 97%!  His total score was 2000!  Of the original sections he got a 1400 which is a great score…  I know your math help throughout the year had to help shore up his match knowledge as this score really jumped.  Thanks again for all that you did for C. this year.  Wishing you a bright and happy future as a teacher.  You have what it takes.
