Rock Point Park was a popular excursion destination around the turn of the 20th century.  Churches, fraternal orders, schools and other groups from western Pennsylvania & eastern Ohio organized pleasure trips to the park. At one time it had various amusement facilities, scenic trails, and picnic grounds. It was located in Wayne Township Lawrence Co., Pa. at the junction of the rugged gorge of Connoquenessing Creek and the Beaver River. The nearest towns were Wampum, Hazel Dell & Ellwood City.
The intent of this site is to review the history of the park and present  information gathered from various sources and to display some material that is not widely known.
