OUTINGS, PICNICS & EXCURSIONS Part 1

Badges, pins & ads from various events at Rock Point Park  illustrate the diverse types of organizations utilizing the park. These items date from the period when the Rock Point Amusement company managed the park. The August 24, 1911 Ellwood City Merchants & Manufacturers Club outing was advertised as "The biggest event of the year" and was supposed to be " a monster gathering."  Ironically a week later the park closed forever.
