Passage:

"I want me a whole gallona ice cream," he said, still looking out the window. I saw a slight smile come on his face, and it was not a bitter smile at all. Not bitter at all. "A whole gallona vanilla ice cream. Eat it with a pot spoon. My last supper. A whole gallona ice cream."

A Lesson Before Dying, Ernerst J. Gaines
Explanation:

This passage reeks with informality. The character speaking, Jefferson, uses, short sentences and simplistic vocabulary. In the sentence "I want me a whole gallona ice cream," he refers to himself by saying "me," instead of saying something more properly such as "I want for myself a whole gallon of ice cream."Also, instead of saying "...a whole gallon of ice cream," he says "...a whole gallona ice cream" combining "gallon" and "of" into one word, as if too lazy to say an extra word or so. Also, he repeats himself, as if he wants to be understood clearly through his informality with Grant Wiggins, with whom he is speaking to in this passage.
