Molds

September 2000

The first thing to do was setting up the molds. Since this boat is a composite strip plank construction with wood, epoxy and glass fiber, the molds are scrapped once the hull is ready. The people that have the yard helped us set up the molds.

Some hi-tech aligning!

The strongback with the first mold, actually a bulkhead that is to remain in the boat.

The first picture shows the frames at the forward end of the boat. The second picture shows the frames just forward of the transom.

And now the big epoxy barrel had arrived.
