EDITORIAL Hello! If you are a second or third year, welcome back. If you are a first year, then welcome to our small corner of Bristol. You’ll have a great time here! For the past two years, I was nothing more than a humble illustrator for this esteemed organ. Suddenly, the team vanished. However, before they left, they were good enough to point out that I was now the editor and they left me with a nice box of chunky crayons which I am now writing this piece with. Luckily, I have a whole, brand spanking new team to work with. As you’ll see from this first issue, they really are a fantastic bunch. Many of you will be wondering how this magazine acquired its ‘naughty’ name. Well, many moons ago, it was actually called The St. Matthias Periodical (probably). It was then renamed Matts Matters, a title which remained until last year when, during an alcohol fuelled meeting, someone happened to point out that ‘Matts Matters’ bore a slight resemblance to the rude saying, ‘The Mutts Nuts’. The rest is history. Anyway, enough of my rambling. Read on, enjoy the first issue and feel free to contact us with any comments or suggestions at mattsmuttsnuts@yahoo.co.uk - Rob Lordan (Editor) |
