M.A.S.H.-- Moon Style
By: Chibi Michiru
"Tell me when to stop, Artemis!" Mina ordered as she marked tallies on a sheet of paper. I
rolled my eyes--this is sooo dumb. I sighed. Well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
"Stop," I murmured. We were playing a fortune game called MASH. MASH
stands for Mansion, Apartment, Shack, or House. They pick a number, and cross out stuff
as they go along, until you have one choice remaining in each category. After that, you
can see what you got stuck with. I hate it. Mina counted my tallies while Serena and Lita
watched with eagerness.
"Uh...Artemis, you got 54," Mina said, furrowing her brow. Whoops! Heh! I guess
I was thinking too long! Silly me! (sweat drop)
"Okay, then use 12," I suggested. Everyone gave me an awkward look. Amy
spoke up.
"Artemis! You're not supposed to pick the number! MASH is a game of chance,"
Serena couldn't take it anymore. (Cool, I'm not alone!)
"Just pick twelve--I wanna see Artemis' life!!!" There was silence in the room.
Everyone stared at Serena and blinked. Serena shrugged.
"Well...It's a heck of a lot easier to count than 54!" Mina silently counted up my
life. She giggled...she laughed...she couldn't breathe.
"This game's silly. Tarot cards provide a much more accurate prediction of
someone's life!" Raye complained. Mina stood up to read my life. Since she still couldn't
breathe, she handed the paper to Darien. Darien read the paper, and giggled...laughed...
couldn't breathe. Luna grabbed the paper, and read it while she was still breathing.
"A-hem. Artemis is going to be married to Lita while living in an apartment, with
Hotaru as his child. His occupation will be Guardian of the Sailor Scouts, with Wiseman
as his boss. I'm his--WHAT?!--Artemis, I'm your WHAT?!" I nodded.
"This is a game!--TELL ME THIS IS ONLY A GAME!--This will NOT happen!-I
will not be Artemis' pet--RIGHT?!" Luna crumbled up the paper. I looked at Lita. She
was red in the face.--Did I mention sweating? Oh yeah, sweat drops everywhere. She was
probably thinking the same thing as Luna. Serena jumped up into the air, and grabbed the
crumpled paper.
"What, Serena? What did you want the paper for?" Raye asked. Serena
straightened it out.
"I didn't see his car yet!" Serena checked. She giggled...laughed...you guessed it.
Serena was holding her neck, gasping for air--while rolling on the floor, red faced, with
tears in her eyes. Amy took the paper. She giggled. What? No! She could still breathe!
"Listen, everyone! Artemis' item of transportation is--MELVIN'S BIKE!--hee hee
hee!" Everyone was on the floor laughing. Lita was dripping with sweat. Luna was whiter
than me. Mina, Darien, and Serena still weren't breathing, so Raye had to do CPR on all of
them. (I think Darien could really breathe--but you all know the rest!) I couldn't stand it
any longer. I stood up on my hind legs and yelled at the top of my weak little kitty lungs--
"It's all a GAME! A big, dumb, STUPID, VERY IDIOTIC GAME! It's not gonna
happen! It's not even funny!....SHUT UP!!" Before I could say any more, I toppled over,
and passed out. I opened my eyes, and shut them again.
