I opened my eyes. I looked around. This is not where I fell. I looked around again. I was on the sidewalk! Weird. I guessed that I should go home. I stood up, and walked toward home. Hold on! I only had two legs--and I had hands! I kept on walking. Mina would understand, I hope. I started to get tired, really tired. I spotted Melvin on his bike. I ran over to him, and stopped him. "Aren't you--Melvin?" I asked. Melvin looked up. He got off his bike, and looked suspiciously into my eyes. Uh-oh, he knows! I thought. "Yeah, I'm Melvin," --Whew! He doesn't know. I grabbed his bike, and jumped on. Before he could grab it back, I rode away. I rode as fast as I could, avoiding Melvin. Finally, I arrived at Mina's. I burst open the door. "Mina! Mina! It's me! Artemis!" I looked down, and saw a fat cat licking my feet. Another cat? How could Mina do this to me? He was fat, too! At least I'm not fat.-Uh-oh. What if Luna as the hots for him? I thought quickly, and rode to Serena's house. This time, I knocked. "Hello? Huh? Who are you?!" Serena answered the door. I looked around the room. "Where's Luna?" I asked. Serena stared at me hard. She smiled. "Oh, hi Artemis! Come in! What happened? Did you lose Luna?" Serena pulled me inside. Ok. Why did she ask me that? Shouldn't she have lost Luna? Luna's her cat! "Isn't Luna your cat?" I asked again, but suspiciously. Serena gave me a weird look. "No...Luna's your cat. You know, Lita's getting worried about you. Maybe you should head home," Serena pushed me outside. I got on my bike, and headed to Lita's apartment. I opened the door. Lita was feeding baby Hotaru. Luna was napping on a rug...Luna?! "Hi honey, can you help me feed Hotaru, while I fix dinner?" Lita smiled. Uh-oh. This was starting to add up. I'm married to Lita, Hotaru's my baby, Luna's my pet, and I live in an apartment. It's the game! It came true--but how? I don't want this life! I want my old one! How do I get out of this? --NOOOO!! "I'll just calmly read the paper and--" I heard an ear piercing scream. Lita looked at her watch. Her watch was talking!--No, not ticking, talking! |
