| Part Three: Trouble for Tenchi |
| Scene one: Tenchi, Sakuya, and Sasami are in the Hospital waiting room. Tenchi has just finished telling Sakuya and Sasami about Ryoko and Ayeka’s accident. Tenchi: ...And, so that’s how it happened. (Sakuya and Sasami have an amazed look on their faces) Sakuya: Are they ..dead? Tenchi: No, it’s worse. Sakuya: (under her breath) Darn! Tenchi: What?! Sakuya: Oh, nothing dear. Now what happened to them? What could possibly be worse than death? Tenchi: Well, Ryoko has a severe case of amnesia, and Ayeka... (He becomes upset) Sasami: What? Sakuya: (to Sasami) Sweetie, don’t speak unless you’re spoken to. Sasami: Hai, Sakuya-sama Sakuya: Now what happened to Ayeka? (with a fake concerned look) Tenchi: She... She... She’s in a coma! (he bursts into sobs) Sakuya: Oh dear, I’m so sorry! (she embraces him and he pushes her away) Tenchi: Don’t touch me, Whore! I’m going to check on Ayeka and Ryoko. Don’t go anywhere. I don’t have the patience to bail you out of trouble today. (Sakuya turns to Sasami) Sakuya: Did you hear that? Keep out of trouble... we do things differently here in America. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scene two: Tenchi walks into Ryoko’s hospital room. Ryoko: HI DADDY! Tenchi: I TOLD YOU BEFORE I’m NOT your FATHER! I’m your doctor. Ryoko: I know that. You aren’t my father, but you’re still my daddy. Tenchi: Uhhhh..... (he walk towards Ayeka’s bed) Ryoko: It just isn’t right, though....you know Mother doesn’t like it when I see you. We should just end this now, before things get out of hand. (Tenchi turns back to Ryoko) Tenchi: (playing along) You’re right... we should just break up... it’s for the best. No hard feelings here. (he walks over to Ayeka’s bed. He is looking at Ayeka, brushes her face, and speaks to her as if she can hear him.) My darling, you take things for granted and you never realize how important they are until you lose them. I wish with all my soul that I would have just driven you home. It’s too late now... it’s all my fault! (Sakuya walks in) Sakuya: You know, now that Ayeka's out of the way, we can build up on our relationship... (She grabs hold of Tenchi seductively) Tenchi: But what if she wakes up? Sakuya: That can be easily fixed. (Hands Tenchi a pillow) Tenchi: You want me to smother her?? (Sasami walks in just as Sakuya and Tenchi are putting the pillow over Ayeka's face) Sasami: Kami-sama!! What are you doing?!?!? (Sakuya quickly takes the pillow and frantically fans Ayeka with it) Tenchi and Sakuya: She had a fever of (Sakuya:)105!--(Tenchi:) 107! Sakuya: She was hot. Sasami: I'm not even going to ask... (dashes out of the room) (Ayeka stirs and opens her eyes as she speaks) Ayeka: I TOLD YOU NO PICKLES!! (drifts back into comatose state) Ryoko: (interrupting) Well, next time speak into the box, so I can get your order correct! I hate this job... oh yeah... WOULD YOU LIKE FRIES WITH THAT??
