He appears in Madison County again in 1798 and is shown to be over 21 years of age and owning two horses or mules.  Tax records continue to show him residing in Madison County until 1803.  Tax records show that he moved to Wayne County in 1803 or 1804.  He remained in Wayne County until 1816.  He does not appear on Kentucky tax rolls after this date.

D-53 Deed dated 8 Apr 1812,  John Winton of Roane Co., Tn sold 250 acres on north side of Tn River to McClellan Winton of Wayne Co., Kentucky for $750 regd 21 April 1812.

Bond on Estate of McClellan Winton:  Note this bond was originally at Book 1, pages 15 &16 of Cotaco County Orphans Court records, It is significant because the first part of that book have deteriorated from being wet. Even this page shows some minor holing, but the majority of the page is readable and relates back to page 15 & 16. Of Course Cotaco County became Morgan Co in 1819 and Orphans and Widows court became Probate Court later, Between the two copies only 2 small segments are unreadable. These are shown by dashes.
