| Matt Rock Online is an opinion site designed for entertainment. It is openly free for the public to view and use, always has been, and always will be. The idea of the site is to allow the site's creator, Matt, the ability to rant and rave about social and political topics that he feels strongly enough about to write articles regarding them. This site may not be for everyone and if it's offended you, we're sorry! Matt Rock Online was formed on May 10th, 1996, by Matt Rock and his best friend, Colin. The site originated on Geocities and ran there until 1998, when Matt moved the site over to a publishing/ hosting service called The Globe. The Globe went out of business around 2000, leaving Matt Rock Online Homeless, and after being offline for nearly four months it returned to the internet through Yahoo! Geocities. Since then, some of the old articles (mostly rants) have re-surfaced, and there are plans to bring back as much of the original content as possible. Since the site's re-birth on Geocities in 2000, many new rants and articles have been written, and the site has undergone massive transformations. In May of 2006, Matt Rock Online plans to celebrate its ten-year anniversary. Matt Rock Online is not a company or corporation. You cannot purchase stock in the company because there isn't one. Our online store is managed through a service called Cafe Press, and donations are happily accepted and transfered via Paypal services. Donations are always welcome and accepted through the donations page on the main menu. Donations are used by Matt to pay for services the site requires, and he treats any left over donations as payment for publishing the site's original content.
