Pearl's Eyes

(for Mariam)

As sure as the sun rises in the morning,
You are there to shine with it
As soon as the morning dews springs,
You are there to smack them and be touched
By the lily's petals
As sure as the clouds appear in the sky
You seemed so light as air and rode with those
Beautiful, fluffy, white cottons brushing your cheeks
As sure as the wind blows southwest
You have stayed in firmly
as though shared a vow with Thee
As sure as the raindrops fall on the green, green grass
You sure are there to savor them
Dancing amongst the peaceful valleys
Full of special beauty like the roses and lilies
Indeed you are,
As sure as the grass withers
You are still there to be seen
Such pure in heart
And as strong as a vow
Your beauty exudes not only from within
The heavens clothed you with crystal linen
Just as your eyes being cloaked upon
the brightness of your grin.
