The following work had
been
written by the author in July, 1982, in Mérida, Venezuela, and
was
published as a contribution to the book, Guyana Hoy, edited by Prof.
Dr. Rita Giacalone de Romero, Corpoandes / Editorial Venezolana C.
A., Mérida, Venezuela 1982, pp. 13 - 84. It has been translated
into English, from Spanish, by the author himself, for his students of
the Department of Political and Administrative Studies, Faculty of
Social
Sciences, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. In 1983, this English
edition
has been abridged and published by the Faculty of Social Sciences
Publications
Committee. I dedicate it to my students in their struggle to uproot all
forms of "racism" from the heart of the Continent of Africa.
Port
Harcourt, Nigeria.
