2/6/2001 - So I go to the Gym after 5,000 years and decide to take a step class. Of course, I HAD to be the only fool in the class. Is that embarrassing or WHAT?? But I have to say that I really enjoyed the personalized attention that I received. My friend, Dina, saw me in the room by myself, jumping around and she thought, "DANG, what a show off, trying out moves in a room all by herself!!"

I tell Miles that I'm out of shape and he tells me, "no, you've got a shape...it's just round." I just know that if I want to kill myself, he's the friend I need to talk to...he'll probably PUSH me right off the building.

2/13/2001 - The 2001 ICE Show is finally over. My body is in pain and I'm dead tired. Each year that passes, I gain new respect for people who work in retail. I can't imagine having to work like that 5 days a week. I'm definitely NOT a retail type of girl.

My co-worker, Steve, and I had quite an amusing time watching some of the crazy hairdressers walking by. There was one fellow dressed a la Disco Ball...a mirrored pants & cap outfit - boy...i couldn't get over THAT particular outfit.

Well, 1 down and 1 more show to go. I can't wait until February is over....

2/19/2001 - Went to see "Left Behind" with a TON of Praxis folks. It's always good to meet new people. The books were definitely better than the movie. However, I really wanted to support the movie. Over 20 of us showed up to see it. Then we were off to my least favorite restaurant, Denny's. I think i have had enough denny's during high school & college to last me the rest of my life. That food is really, really horrible. If I never go there again, I can die happy.

2/17/2001- Shel & Karin's wedding has come & gone. I told tara to get to my house between 2 & 2:30, so she showed up @ 3:30pm. Needless to say I was a little upset. Furthermore, there was a major accident in Carson, so the freeway got closed off. By the God's grace we somehow made it to the wedding, just in time. During the dreaded bouquet toss, about 5 single women (me included) hid in the bathroom. That was a sheer stroke of genius...now I know how to dodge that DARN tradition. For all my friends who are getting married, if you have any love for me at all, please do away with that stupid, humiliating tradition.

2/14/2001 - Spent the evening having dinner with Erin, Tara, Nancy & Diana. Diana graciously offered up her house for us. As some of you may have read in the Rafu Shimpo (because Tara was unable to keep quiet in front of the reporter, NJ) we single women have a tradition of spending Valentine's Day with each other as an encouragement for each other. Potluck dinner was great, as was the company.

2/20/2001 - Although I do not like people to see the evil side of me, I felt it very important to share this story especially with those of you who know my friend, Tosh. Tosh, like me, is a little on the culinary challenged side of the fence (ie, she can't cook). Well, she's attempting to cook for her new boyfriend next weekend. She has requested recipes from people, so if you have anything that quick & easy email me & i'll forward it to her.
Ok, so here's the evil story...I started chatting with Tosh's boyfriend and I made him think that Tosh is actually a Culinary Genius. If he believes me, I can not wait for his reaction to whatever it is she cooks. I also told him specific things that he should request for her to make - Croquette, Choux cream puffs, etc. I'll let you guys know more as I think of other evil things to do....
