This is the San Xavier Mission
They are renovating it, as you can see from the scaffolding.  These pictures do not do it justice.  It's an amazing place and the artwork is stunning.  It was found by a Jesuit Priest and explorer named, Father Eusebio Kino in 1602 and is the oldest working Mission in Arizona.
Every inch of the inside of this Mission is covered with artwork and sculptues.
The Indians (this was built on an Indian Reservation) even added thier own touch.  They painted a rattle snake that goes around the entire inside and also added small paintings of desert creatures.
As you walk into this room, you can feel the heat from all of the candles.

Everywhere you go, on every sculpture, every nook and craney you will find pictures or momentoes of loved ones left there by visitors.
