1994
"Hyper Hyper!"
The first single "Vallee De Larmes" was released. Scooter were only introducted as project first. Allthough "Vallee De Larmes" went on position 8 in the Germany Dance Chart.
On April Scooter made they live apperance first time. Scooter performed the following tracks on the stage: "Vallee De Larmes", "Cosmos" and a totally new techno-track including vocals with H.P. "Hyper Hyper" was born and Scooter became a band. In this point Scooter-members were H.P. Baxxter, Rick J. Jordan and Ferris Bueller. Jens Thele were and still is the manager and the producter. On May "Hyper Hyper" was released. Suddenly is reached position 2 in Germany. Alone in Germany "Hyper Hyper" were sold 700 000 copies, And there for it sold platinum. Even in Israel "Hyper Hyper" was at the top.
1995
"It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!"
Third single "Move Your Ass" was released and H.P. shouts became a trademark of Scooter. The single reached position 3 in Germany and in Great Britain on position 23. Scooter made an international breakthrough.
Then the next single was released. It was "Friends", which reached position three in Germany. After this another single was released. It was called "Endless Summer" and which was released during summer. It reached place 5 in Germany.
In spring the first Scooter-album was released. It was "...And The Beat Goes On!". The album-title became their motto.
On July Scooter was performing in Finland on Rantarock. And since then they have been there almost every year.
Then a single "Back In The U.K" was released. It reached position 18 in Great Britain and position 4 in Germany. Ireland had it's own release of "Back In The U.K.". It was "Back In Ireland" which is a rare single and only available in Ireland.
1996
"In the midnight hour!"
The second album "Our Happy Hardcore" come with a CD-extra including pictures, videos and information about the band. The second single from this album was "Let Me Be Your Valentine" and the third single "Rebel Yell". With this single Scooter became the first techno-band, which was covering a rock-song. Rebel Yell became maybe the first single which was re-made without any guitar-riffs. This track reached position 8 in Germany.
On June Scooter released a video which was called "Happy Hardcore Clips". And only a few days later Scooter performed in Dance d'Or music gal.
With their next single "I'm Raving" Scooter reached a new point in their history. When the earliest tracks tempo were 160-190 hits per minute I'm Raving had only 138. The single reached position 4 In Germany and position 2 in Finland. On December "Break It Up" was made a single-release.
1997
"Rough and ready!"
The next Scooter-single was "Fire". Scooter was the first techno-band that use guitar on their tracks. "Fire" went straight to position 6 in Germany and later an position up. In Finland "Fire" reached position one as well and it's still the biggest Scooter-hit in there.
The video for the next single "The Age Of Love" was probably the most expensive techno-video ever made and it won many prises. "The Age Of Love"-Tour became their first.
After this another single was released "No Fate. At this point Scooter needed a break. At the end of November the first collection-album was released. It's called "The singles 94/98-Rough And Tough And Dangerous". At this point were looking back at this history of Scooter.
1998
"No time to chill so keep on movin'!"
A lot has happened within the band. Ferris left because there were disagreements on the musical future of the band. And he wanted to do some solo projects as well.
A new man was needed. He was soon found in Axel Coon, a well-known Hamburg trance and techno DJ. Scooter started to make new tracks.
It didn't take long when the first new track was released. The new single was called "How Much Is The Fish?". This single was success and sold gold on many countries. In Finland "How Much Is The Fish?" was at the top for eight weeks. "How Much Is The Fish?" was a real driving force for H.P., Rick and Axel.
The three went into the studio with a new lease of energy and a new ideas to produce the first album with a new line-up. The new album was "No Time To Chill" and it still it the most successful Scooter-album. It sold gold in six countries. Scooter started the second chapter in their history.
1999
"Now the time has come, we will reach the top!"
The year began with "No Time To Chill"-tour and on April Scooter celebrate their 5th anniversity.
The first single from the new album "Back To The Heavyweight Jam" was "Faster Harder Scooter". It reached top-ten in Germany and the video had some part of it.
he year was running out and the millennium was near and the world went crazy over it. Scooter had their message of it very clear: "FUCK THE MILLENNIUM!"
"Back To The Heavyweight Jam" won gold in many countries and it also won the first album-prize in Germany.
2000
"Never slow down!"
On this year H.P. Baxxter started to call himself at the name "Dave From Sheffield". He also use the following names: "Candyman, Screaming Lord" and so on.
The first single from the new "Sheffield"-album was "I'm Your Pusher" but Scooter were unhappy their results. H.P. said, that they couldn't find their own style.
The second single at this year was "She's The Sun". This time H.P. said, that they wanted to try something new. The audience was not too excited and in Germany "She The Sun" reached only position 41.
The year 2000 was also the beginning of the Scooter main-project "Are You Ratty?", that still is alive. The first single under the name "Ratty" was "Sunrise (Here I Am)" Later they released another single "Living On Video" and several remixes.
2001
"Get busy, come with me, 'cause I'm the biggest MC!"
Scooter locked themselves into their studio after unsuccessful year for brainstorming sessions and to gather new ideas. After a while is was there: a new Scooter track "Posse I Need You On The Floor" which was dedicated to the fans who stood by Scooter throughout the difficult times. H.P. has already played around with the idea of using pitched vocals, but nobody expected such an amazing success. Of course, there were lots of copiers-Scooter had started the retro trend.
"Aiii Shot The DJ" was the second single at the "We Bring The Noise!"-album, but it didn't gain much success. On December Scooter released their 23rd single "Ramp! (The Logical Song). The video of this track was the one of the most action full videos of Scooter because it's car-chases and explosions.
2002
"Are you ready it's not the game!"
The year began with the releasing of the second collection-album "Push The Beat For This Jam [The Second Chapter]", which include the singles from "How Much Is The Fish?" to "Ramp! (The Logical Song)". And on January "Push The Bear For This Jam"-Tour 2002 begun. After the tour Axel Coon left Scooter and he was replaces by Jay Frog.
Soon Scooter released a new single "Nessaja" which was the most successful track in Germany so far. It reached chart position 1 in Germany. This haven't done by any other Scooter-single so far.
On May the first Scooter-DVD was released. It was called "Encore (The Whole Story)". On this double-DVD was a full length live- perforation, all videos and much more. Also a first Scooter-Live-album was released. "Encore (Live And Direct)" was the name of that album.
"The Logical Song" was released in Great Britain and it reached chart position 2 th ere and it became the best chart position in Great Britain to Scooter so far.
On December another collection-album was released. It was called "24 Carat Gold".
2003
"The third chapter has just begun!"
On February the new single "Weekend!" was released. It became almost as successful as "Nessaja" and it reached position 2 in Germany charts. Also on February Scooter won the ECHO-Awards Best Dance Act, which is the most respectful musicprize in Europe. And a few days later Scooter won the MCMega Awards.
A month later a long waited new album "The Stadium Techno Experience" was released. The second single from this album was "The Night". This track wasn't a success and one German judger gave it 1/5 stars and a name Squirrel.
On August at the COMET gala Scooter won again the best dance-band prize. At the same time the third single from the new album was released. "Maria (I Like It Loud" was the 27th single of Scooter. It reached position 4 in Germany. In Finland Scooter came at the bottom and "Maria" didn't make on the Top 20. On elsewhere "Maria" broke Scooter records being the 1st In Austria and 6th in Holland.
On December the new single "Jigga Jigga!" was released. It reached position 10 in Germany. A German music-channel VIVA got to choose eight groups in the European Vision pre-contest. On of these groups is Scooter.
2004
"Going to make you hop an skip around like a kangaroo!"
The year begun with "We Like It Loud (Scooter Ten Years) tour".
Scooter won ECHO-awards Best Dance Act. They won also last year.
On October, Scooter released new single !Shake That!" and new album "Mind The Gap"
New single made return to the 70's. Discostyle song got excellent video. In the beginning Scooter is part of Freak Show in 30's because they are musicians. Suddenly we are in the 70's! "Shake That!" became big club hit and it was also big hit in single charts (Germany 8, Finland 9 for example).
