I've come so far, the road so long
These blisters, come and gone, have faded from my feet
I'm swept away in the moment
I don't realize it 'til it's all completely gone
Looking back, I guess it wasn't all that long ago
I didn't know what I was missing out on

I ask myself what's the use
Of starting if it only leads to loss and pain
But through the tears there is the hope and solace
That I'll see them all again someday
I'll take these beaten paths that lead me far away
I see what seems to be the ghosts of yesterday

Constantly journeying towards an end
But in the end it was the journey you were looking for
Anticipating what's 'round the bend
You miss the point and end up longing for before

I came in search of new horizons
To expand upon, new faces to be found
All that and more'll retain a piece of my heart
When I'm not around
This time two months ago I didn't know that I was blind
But now my heart can see what I will leave behind

Constantly journeying towards an end
But in the end it was the journey you were looking for
Anticipating what's 'round the bend
You miss the point and end up longing for before

So I've reached my destination
So my journey's reached its close
But the end of every journey
Is the start of the journey back home

Constantly journeying towards an end
But in the end it was the journey you were looking for
Anticipating what's 'round the bend
You miss the point and end up longing for before
