BOOK REPORTS FOR GRADING PERIODS 5 AND 6

OPTION 1:
20 points on Accelerated Reader for Seventh Grade
25 points on Accelerated Reader for Eighth Grade
(These points may be accumulated on or before Friday, March 30th on one to four books. The grading system will be the same as during the third grading period.)

OR (All of the following projects require two different books.)

OPTION 2:
Take 2 AR tests for the actual grades.

OPTION 3:
Do 2 creative projects with either an oral report or a written report that relates the project to the book. (See below for project options.)

OPTION 4:
Do 2 written projects. (See below for written project options.)

OPTION 5:
You may do any two of the options 2, 3, and 4.
Example: You could take one AR test and do one written project (different books)

You may also get extra credit for AR tests on books for which you did a creative or written project.

Power Point Presentation (must have oral presentation)
Comic Book Version of Book
Front Page of a Newspaper
Story Map
Model of a Significant Scene

Written Project Options –
All written projects should be 5 paragraphs minimum.
Comparison to the movie version (if applicable)
Comparison to another book by the same author
Comparison to another book with a similar theme
Letter to the author about the book
Essay as the book, persuading someone to read you
Essay focusing on an important literary element in the book
  (such as theme, setting, character, etc.)
