Sugarloaf Horse Rescue (SHR) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the care, rehabilitation and re-homing of abused, neglected and slaughter-bound equines. Working with volunteers and members of the community to educate about humane care and proper treatment of equines. Provide rehabilitation and re-homing to equines that would otherwise suffer, and when able, provide retirement to those who are in need of constant care.
It is SHR's future goal to involve community members, community service organizations, youth & handicapped organizations, for theraputic riding, education, theraputic companionship, lessons in responsibility and lots of fun!
