Broken In All The Special Places
Hello, my name is Marie, and I am a self-injurer.  I am creating this page in hopes of educating my family, friends, and others on this subject.  SI is a widely misunderstood addiction.  I will do my best to explain things in a way that will give you perspective from someone who has, and is living through it, rather than textbook articles and definitions.  Publications on this site are my opinions and views I am not a doctor or counselor.  Also, you will find poetry on SI that I have written, and later, poetry that has been sent to me.  If you are a self injurer, please go through this site with caution, because articles and images on this page could be very intense and Triggering.  Please e-mail me with your responses, questions, poetry, personal SI stories, and ideas.  Don't forget to sign my guestbook!!!

Coping With Catastrophe:
A Collection Of Poetry
Personal Stories
This web site has now been up and running for several years.  It is one of the things in my life that I am most proud of.  I have done my best to keep it up to date and all of the information true and as new as I know of.  As a self-injurer, I know the pain that comes with self-injury.  This site is to help spread the word, to let others know that they are not alone! It is also to educate other people who may not know about self-injury, and to help loved ones of people who have this addiction understand  better.  I thank all of you who have participated in the polls and who have submitted poetry and stories.

I dedicate this web site to anyone who has ever had to
    suffer through self-injury.* ~
