Name: Rastlin Latheo Name Meaning: N/A Referred to: Depends on who’s speaking |
Age: 19 Birthday: May 26 Location: Normally in Tou by either the King or Queen’s side Favorite Color: Brown Favorite Food: Oranges Favorite Subject: Your business Likes: The King’s interesting inventions, spell decks Dislikes: The god weapons. Hobbies: Doing yo-yo tricks. Dreams: To get away from court. Love Life: He has kept his profession from letting him develop any relationships. Friends: He’s on good terms with most of the Tou Riders and Royal guard. Strengths: Rastlin is said to be the best lancer in the history of Shinwa. He has never betrayed the Queen or King’s confidence, though he reports most anything about the King he observes to the Queen. His boyishly innocent air and inherited good looks are naturally disarming to many. Rastlin has very high moral standards and is one of the best at extremely close combat. Rastlin’s spells, though small in their effect, do not tire him. Weaknesses: While he may be an excellent lancer and competent swordsman, Rastlin prefers getting very close to his enemy in a fight which has it’s own hazards and rewards. He tends to be really silent in the presence of woman, sometimes blushing and excusing himself away when they talk to him. He goes to great lengths not to assume anything about anyone. He hides secrets of his own. He has no real combat magic or magic that is enhanced by the Ba’al. Appearance: Rastlin doesn’t like to advertise that he’s there, unfortunately his armor speaks volumes to the contrary otherwise. The armor it one or the king’s newest innovations in armor. Yet Rastlin has no clue what it might do other than being made of the lighter and stronger ceramic and have several disguised buttons, that look like polished jewels, on the bracers and wing reminiscent shoulder plates. It’s a full battle armor that provides full protection, though Rastlin normally doesn’t wear the helmet or gauntlets. Rastlin has taken a liking to coveralls, similar to the ones Bob likes so much, but of different colors. Personality: Ba’al’s pilot is a sneaky bastard at heart. He can be seen often skulking about in the shadows hunting ghosts only he can see. Being a regular court attendant, he almost always suspects everyone of hiding some skeletons in their closet, even going so far as to monitor the King and Queen in secret. Beyond that Rastlin is just another helpful errand boy with what he sometimes calls too much moral strength. He hasn’t met the Crown Prince yet, but hopes they will hit it off well. History: Rastlin came to court by summons of the Queen shortly after Kamite and Vahn left to battle Shiro a little over a year ago. It is well known that Rastlin is related to the queen through a distant cousin of the Queen’s mother. He has been accepted as an aide to the crown and general errand boy for anything the royals might need. It is rumored that Rastlin was training to be one of the warrior priests of the queen’s faith. Besides that rumor Rastlin talks little of his past being too busy with the present affairs of the royals to stop sit down and have a long chat with most anyone besides them. Ba’al, an infamous dragon from the ancient times of the human uprising, chose Rastlin as it’s pilot when he lost his way and found himself in the aviary, at least that’s what he says when questioned about it. No one except the Royal family of Tou and the first and second in command of the royal guard know that he can pilot the black dragon. This hasn’t stopped him from coming onto mostly good terms with the Tou Dragon Riders or help douse the rumor that he is Ba’al’s chosen pilot. To everyone, but the select few mentioned above, Rastlin is little more than the Royals personal errand boy and bodyguard who knows a few simple magic tricks. Item: None, though he can be periodically found holding the Titan Glaive for the Queen when she gets rather busied with something important. Rastlin has never shown any of the signs of the bloodline that would allow him to unlock the powers within the god weapon and constantly acts as if the fearsome creation will reach up and bite him. He doesn’t like the weapon, but keeps silent about his feelings. The Queen’s duties are far more important than any objections he could offer. |
