Grand Theft Auto 3 Hints and Cheats

Ah, Grand Theft Auto 3.

What a great game. Carjacking people, toppling drug cartels, and getting revenge on your lying girlfriend who shot you in the head in the middle of a robbery and left you for dead. A true classic.

Since you're not a filthy cheater like me, let me start you out with a few hints:

Don't attract cops.

They never give up, and if you get more than 1 star on your wanted meter, the only way to escape is to find well hidden rotating stars throughout the city.

If there are too many cops to jack a car, just hop on the roof of a passing car and hitch a police-free ride around town.

To make your ride put the pedal to the medal, just fire a round into the hood. However, this is dangerous for a few reasons: It might attract the cops, and you can fall off very easily when the car is going fast. Only hitch a ride when there are too many cops to jack a car.

Always keep a gun, or better, guns, on you.

You never know when you may have to pass through an "unsavory" part of town. You can't always count on having a car to protect you.
