The two commanding officers were spending a quiet dinner alone. They talked about the crew, and ship wide problems. Common for any command team, but as the night drifted by, like the ship through the sea of stars, the conversation became more and more intimate.

"Chakotay, for the years you spent at Starfleet, were they all miserable?, I mean, Did you have any fond memories while you were there?"
" Well... I don't have that many fond memories of Starfleet itself, but I have many with the people I met"..  Chakotay's mouth formed a half-smile, oblivious to Kathryn observing him.
"People?... any in particular?".. Kathryn Janeway's curiosity shone right through her voice.
" Its quite a tragic story; involving passion, and a love that was never meant to be..." Chakotay looked in the direction of Kathryn for her reply.
"Hmm.. sounds tantalizing!!"- Kathryn stared into the eyes of her dear friend, and wanted nothing more then to hear the story which he held dear in his heart.

It all started in my second year at Starfleet HeadQuarters in San Francisco. I was walking through the grounds which Begbie(the groundskeeper) kept up so well. As I turned a corner in the direction of the local shopping district, I spotted the most beautiful women in the world. Her hair was long, and flowed down the back of her small frame. She was wearing a dark green dress which only covered to her knees. She walked with such confidence, very much like an Admiral on Starfleet.  She continued to walk as I watched her from afar, too frightened to walk up and talk to such a beautiful women.

"I have never been so worried to talk to other women, but I was terrified of her." Chakotay looked directly at Kathryn, and continued with his story.

As I watched, I was startled by a noise behind me;... which happened to be a bunch of cadets playing football(an ancient Earth sport).  I turned quickly around and I noticed that the beautiful women had disappeared.

For months, I searched all of my classes,  clubs, and through all of Starfleet, but the enchanting women was not to be found. I yurned for the chance to see her again; constantly abusing myself for not talking to her when I had the chance.

As the months went by, I went in search of other women, to satisfy the love that I felt for the mysterious woman; but realized that she was the only one for me. I sat up at nights looking at the stars wondering if she was actually real, or just a fantasy.

As I tried hard to forget about her, I went to many parties hoping that I would one day see her again. And on the yearly Costume Party held by Starfleet, my fantasy became a reality.
I went in dressed like medieval soldier. Dressed in full armour( which wasn't very comfortable) and I carried a replicated sword from the 14 century Earth. All of my other friends quickly left me, in the pursuit of beautiful women, and I would have, except that my heart was reserved for one women, the mysterious angel.

I slowly drank the burbon, well actually the fifth glass when the alcohol began to hit me hard. I started towards the door when I suddenly bumped into the beautiful women that I had been looking for, for so long. I completely knocked her small frame to the ground.

"Oh... are you alright??"- my voice was racing as I lifted her off the ground
She was dressed in a beautiful gown, matching that of a Queen's.
"I'm fine....but my dress isn't" As she displayed the rip that had formed along the back seam.
"I'm sooo sorry...is there anything I can do for you?'- Chakotay asked as innocently as possible.
" Its alright, I mean there isn't anything that you CAN do"- As she started to walk away.
"Where are u going???" Chakotay asked.
"Well I have to go back to my quarters and replicate something new"
"Let me walk you, I feel bad enough about the dress, making sure you make it there safely is something I can do" "I can just knock them over if they try to hurt you", Chakotay chuckled.
"Haha!!" the laughing emerged from the mysterious women. As the tension between them lessened.
" You are free to walk me to the transport station " Chakotay shook his head as the woman led the way.
