| We began to walk and talk about Starfleet, and what we wanted to do with our lives. "By the way I'm Chakotay" "Chakotay, thats a rather unique name, where does it originate from?" "Its a name from my people" Chakotay responded. We began talking about other cultures, and other species, the reason why we both wanted to join Starfleet, even though Science was her first choice. As we arrived at the transport site she turned and gave me the softest kiss on my lips and stated "See you around Chakotay, maybe we'll BUMP into each other again", and with that she vanished into the transporter. She had already transported by the time I realized that I didn't even know her name. I asked the transport attendant if her knew where she went, which he stated was Starfleet grounds; the place where I had searched for her for months.She disappeared from my life like she did in the transport. I cared deeply for her, and the lasting memory that she left with me. As Chakotay looked up, he realized that Kathryn had tears streaming down her face. "Kathryn, whats the matter?" "Chakotay................ that women was me." The look on Chakotay's face was a mix between joy and confusion. "What??... he asked as the emotions began to flood in. " I was the woman Chakotay..." the tears continued to fall down her face. "Where did you go??", Chakotay asked in a demanding tone. "I was being trained in Australia for deep sea excursions, as part of my training, I left a couple days after the party." Kathryn explained. Chakotay was feeling so lost and knew that he had expressed the inner most secret of his heart, and that it was about Kathryn Janeway, the woman that he was deeply in love with now. He knew that the reason he couldn't find her for so many months, was the fact that Kathryn Janeway studied more then she partied. As he turned to Kathryn he simply asked.. "May I finish the kiss???" Kathryn still letting the reality set in replied "Yes". The two commanding officers, and friends locked lips, slowly at first, but ever increasing with the passion that ran through both their hearts. As their hands slowly travelled over each others bodies, the reality set in that they both had what they wanted, and they both couldn't be happier. She remembered meeting him and feeling the same way he did. She wanted to just wrap her arms around him and never let go, but knew that she would be leaving only days later. She loved Chakotay more then she could ever imagine. The growing relationship between them was always there, but she didn't know that they could be together and still command the ship. The fact was that she cared so deeply for him, and he felt the same about her. Could their love for each other conquer all that came before them?. Chakotay as if reading her mind stated "Kathryn I love you more then you'll ever know, it may not be Starfleet approved, but we know what we feel for each other. And I'm not losing you again Kathryn...not this time." And with that Chakotay pulled Kathryn into a giant bear hug as they continued to pleasure each other as Voyager drifted by the stars. The End |
