I still believe that miracles can happen every day, I still think angels sometimes come to wipe our tears away. When night seems darkest, I believe we'll see a light shine clear, and when the storm is gone, I'm sure a rainbow will appear. written by Amanda Bradley |

Somebody Should Have Taught Him. (Excerpt Taken From -Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul)
I went to a birthday party but I remembered what you said. You told me not to drink, so I had Sprite instead. I felt so proud of myself the way you said I would that I didn't choose to drink and drive though some friends said I should, I knew I made a healthy choice, and your advice to me was right. As the party finally ended and the kids drove out of sight I got into my own car sure to get home in one piece never knowing what was coming, something I least expected. Now I'm lying on the pavement I can hear the policeman say "The kid that caused this wreck was drunk." His voice seems far away. My own blood is around me, as I try hard not to cry I hear the paramedic say, "This child is going to die." I'm sure the guy had no idea while he was flying high because he chose to drink and drive that I would have to die. So why do people do it knowing it ruins lives? But now the pain is cutting me like a hundred stabbing knives. Tell my sister not to be afraid, tell daddy to be brave, and when I go to heaven to put "Daddy's Girl" on my grave. Someone should have taught him that it is wrong to drink and drive. Maybe if his mom and dad had, I'd still be alive. My breath is getting shorter, I'm geeting real scared. These are my final moments and I'm so unprepared. I wish that you could hold me mom, as I lie here and die. I wish that I could say I love you and... good-bye. |

How Do You Live Your Dash
I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on her tombstone from the beginning....to the end.
He noted that the first came her date of birth and spoke the following date with tears, But he said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years. (1934-1998)
For that dash represents all the time that she spent alive on earth... And now only those who loved her know what that line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own, the cars... the house... the cash, What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard... are there things you'd like to change? for you never know how much time is left, that can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough to consider what's true and real and always try to understand the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger and show appreciation more and love the people in our lives like we/ve never loved before
If we treat each other with respect and more often wear a smile.. remembering that this special dash might only last a little while.
So, when your eulogy's being read with your life's actions to rehash.. would you be proud of the things they say about how you spent your dash?

Think On These!!
Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally mmet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.
When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.
Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the the things you want to do.
Always put yourself in other's shoes If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person too!!
The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past. you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches
when you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. live your life so that when you die, you're the one smiling and everyone around you is crying |
