NOTES ON WRITERS

POEMS

We 21st Century Youths

We are like ants
Struggling in the kitchen sink filled with water
In search for the source of the sweet smell
We've lost our way

We 21st Century Youths
Learning all the directions at a cross road
Now we have to decide
Which way to go

We want to trust
That everyone can have an honest kidney
And that the true content comes from
Peace; not destruction

We want the strength to leap
Powerfully to the future
But the satisfaction of our leap
Is not so promising

We want to have a dream
A dream that keeps us going
And which is not stopped by
The tragedy covering the world

We want to love
Not just to be in love with but to love
We want love that lasts
Days months years and forever

Yes we are youths
Kicked into the 21st century
That we did not choose to be born in
We will live we have to live
