The six walked into the huge ballroom MTV rented out for that night, and were amazed.  It looked like a huge club scene.  Trinity's stomach fluttered a bit, and she gulped feeling nervous.  She felt like she was 17 again going to her first prom.  But this time it was a bunch of strangers.  Immedietly cameras were shoved in their faces and pictures were being snapped.  Trinity gasped a little, and tried to cover her face.  She kept her body mostly behind A.J. hoping they weren't getting much of her.  She didn't want her face in Entertainment Weekly.

Donna had told her to lie a little low, and the reason why she was attending this was for the boy's sake.  They didn't want them to get suspicious.  "Hey, don't be scared of the camera, it won't bite.  But I might."  A.J. joked, poking her in the side as they pushed through the photographers.  She laughed nervously adjusting the top of her dress, clinging tightly onto A.J. hoping no one was taking notice of her.  She wanted to keep to herself that night, and not have to bother with introductions and inquiring looks.  She could already tell that was gonna be impossible as soon as she saw all the looks that were going towards her.   It's the dress.  She thought.  I look like a Top grade A slut.  Now I'm gonna have to worry about being hit on by guys all night.

"Let's go find a table while the guys do their interviews."  Leighanne said, coming up behind her.  Trinity looked up at A.J.  "It's alright, go with her.  We always have to do this when we come to things like this.  Just a few questions, we'll find you."  A.J. assured her.  She nodded and allowed Leighanne to grab her hand and pull her away from the only comfort she had.  She sighed, and searched around with Leighanne for a table and than finally found it.  "This is going to be a great night.  I love parties like this.  Have you ever been to one of these?"  Leighanne asked.  Trinity shook her head "no."  "Well your so young yet, and you've just started.  Soon you'll be invited to lots of these parties, all the time.  It'll be your only break from touring.  I've heard your stuff, and your really good."  Leighanne complimented.  "Really?  You think my singing is OK?"  Trinity asked.  Leighanne nodded.  "It's better than good.  I was really shocked when I first heard you on stage, all of us thought you were a lip singer."  "Why'd everyone think that?"  "Well no one ever heard you until sound check, you always practiced in private.  You wiped them away though, and put everyone in their place thats for sure."  "Everyone thought I was a fraud?"  Trinity said, a bit hurt.

"Well you couldn't blame us, could you?  Sit in our shoes for a minute."  Trinity thought about it and agreed that she was right.  "Well I suppose I would have thought the same thing."  Trinity put in, a small smile forming on her face.  Leighanne smiled too, putting a hand on her shoulder.  "I have it on good authority that you've got the potential to be a star.  And for you, it should come fast."  Trinity blushed hard at that.  Her face was positively fuming.  She didn't want that to happen.  She didn't think she was THAT good.  But apparently from all the compliments she was.  When she did concerts, the fans seemed to love her, and she had heard from the boy's that fans had wanted her autograph after the concerts, but she kept dissappearing.  Specifically for the reason alone that she wouldn't be discovered.  The lying part wasn't hard at all, she had been doing it for a few years now for her job, so that was a cinch.  But lying to A.J. and Howie wasn't fun, she didn't like it.  After her act, she would run off onto her bus and shower.  She'd sit around reading or watching T.V. until the concert was over and then Randy would take her back to the hotel.  Sometimes she'd leave early back to the hotel but that always popped up questions from everyone, and it was hard enough remembering her name was Trinity, and to put on her glasses when she got offstage.

"Well I just want to make music.  The stardom isn't important to me, just as long as I make people happy."  Leighanne got a big grin on her face when she said that.  "That's a good spirit to have, keep that up and your on your way to the top."  She had stole that line from Brian when he was giving an interview to Teen magazine one day.  She knew it would build her more confidence if she said it.  "Hello ladies, martini?"  The two women looked up at the waiter who held a tray of beverages in front of them.  "Thank you."  Trinity said as she took a martini from the tray.  Trinity noticed one Backstreet Date was missing, and she noticed Mary hanging onto Nick's arm her head on his shoulder with a huge smile on her face.  "So why is Mary over there with Nick?"  Trinity asked.  "That's her boyfriend."  Leighanne informed with a hit of sarcasm.  But she still had a easy smile on her face.  "Well I know THAT, but if she's over there talking to those people, why aren't you over there with Brian."  "Oh, well thats because Mary likes the spotlight.  She loves getting her picture taken, with or without Nick.  Fans feed off information on the Backstreet Boys girlfriends, and Mary gives them as much as she can."  Leighanne told her.

"Is she just into Nick for the fame than?"  Trinity wondered.  "Oh no, hardly.  She loves Nick so much, she's a sweetheart.  She's just very friendly with the fans.  When she meets them she tells them everything about Nick, and their relationship.  Don't tell Nick this, but if she runs into mature older fans and they ask, she shares all the juicy details of her and Nick's passionate rendevous with them.  Pretty wild huh."  Trinity nodded her eyes wide.  She would never share her sex tales with anyone.  "So you just choose to keep your and Brian's relationship to yourself than."  Leighanne nodded.  "I love Brian, he's the only man I can ever see myself growing old with.  Nothing could tear us apart."  "That's so romantic."  Trinity said, leaning her head on her hand, sipping her martini looking past Leighanne with a dreamy stare on her face.  She wondered what love was like.  Real love like Leighanne and Brain.  Not love like Nick and Mary's where they lusted after each other 24/7.  Something special, so special it couldn't be described.  In all her 22 years she had never experienced it.  "Haven't you ever felt that way about someone?"  Leighanne wondered, looking at her intently.

She thought about the question, than thought about Neils, and immdietly knew the answer.  "No, not like that."  Trinity responded quietly.  'Ever?"  "Not ever."  "Well what ab-"  But Leighanne was interuppted by Nick's booming voice.  "Well hello party people!" They looked up seeing the last 6 of them approach and sit down.  Nick was much more talkative when Mary was around.  "Guys talkin shit about us?"  A.J. asked, taking a seat beside Trinity casually slipping his arm around her shoulder.  "Yeah, talkin smack?"  Brian chimed in, going up behind Leighanne wrapping his arms around her.  "Oh yeah.  We couldn't resist the girl talk."  Leighanne teased.  Trinity smiled looking at Leighanne and winked.  "We should go dance now.  I can't sit when prodigy is pumping through my ears."  A.J. whispered in her ear.  She chuckled.  "Okay, lets go."  They stood up.  "Hey we're gonna go into the club room and dance alright?  Anyone want to join us?"  A.J. asked.  "I'll go."  Howie said, getting up.  "Nah, we'll stay here."  The two couples said.  Trinity looked over at Kevin who had a dreamy look on his face, and he seemed to be deep in thought.  I wonder what he's thinking about.  The thought slipped her mind as soon as A.J. opened the doors to the club room and the rave music filled her ears.
