The Return! I'm back from Japan, with a bunch of new toys and a horrible cold. *cough cough* Watch the pictures page for clips of new Okita stuff I found, as well as maybe some backgrounds or winamp skins or something like that. Also, got a book! It has a 20 page chapter on Okita, so lets just see what it says, right? More stuff to add to the name debate page also.

More fanart. More picts. Thanks to Alicia for two new pictures, and to Dot for some lovely fanart! Bought a laptop, maybe this will increase the frequency of updates? I need a new layout... that's first. Second, I need to do some research into the battles during the Rebellion, for the map section. Anyone who wants to help with research on that will get my eternal gratitude, and their name pasted on the map page! Please don't mind the clashing colors. I'm changing things... right before work!

Thanks to Midori-san for fixing some of the horrible errors in the bio page. I'm still working on getting it updated (I swear!), but I do have a life too. Japanese is going back onto the Mac, so I'll be back in business as far as that goes. Uhm.... oh, please help me figure out how to put japanese text onto these webpages before I cry.

Papercuts galore. I'm fixing up the bio according to Toshizo.com. Really, they're my best reference yet. My kanji dictionary has seen so much love this weekend (it would take less time if I understood how to look things up by radical). However, for some quick and easy help on any computer that types Japanese, I found Jim Breen's WWWJDIC Server to be wonderful! Check out the in text translator (*swoon*).

Want to have some fun? Got to the bio page, click on Places, then click on the map. Chubu and Kanto are working, Kinki is in progress. Look around on both Places and Name Debate (from the Bio page) for ways to help the page and me. Just as I think I'll be able to put Japanese characters in my webpage (it worked once, then I saved again!) Yahoo ate them. Buu.

I REPENT! Everyone may beat me if they'd like. Finally reading the link on the very front page (Toshizo.com), and only 12 hours from insisting my japanese teacher clear up the name issue, I have found more then a hearsay source. *sigh* OK, Toshizo.com says, (first bullet under the bold heading under the picture) that not "Soushi" but "Souji" is the correct reading. So the truth? As far as I can tell, this is an ongoing debate among historians. We may never know.

If you came here via my old page you probably found out that bizland sucks butt and decided to start charging me. Now, I'm a poor college student who takes 17 credits and works 10 hours a week. I have to feed myself. Screw Bizland.
=^.^= But I did just get back from Japan! I'm slowly going to move things over to geocities as well as add a part about my time in Kyoto (and Mibu in particular). It will take a while because everything is on my boyfriend's G4 Cube and he just got Dues Ex (*grrrr*).
