Bridges

Subject: Mercy BRIDGES
Date: Tue, 3 Sep 2002
Hi Elizabeth
I note your line :
Robert Luke McDowell wed 1858 #3497 to Mercy Bridges 1838 - 1901 #5848 aged 63, daughter of Anne Beauchamp and William Bridges, lived at Ballarat, and then Gordon

I'm linked to a William BRIDGES who was born in Fulbrook to William and Ann BRIDGES. I thought Ann's maiden name was HARLOT or something like that - but I could be wrong. Other children were : Ann, Arabella, Sarah Ann, Walter, Eleanor, Georgiana, Robert, Mercy (b 18.10.1838)

Is this the same family as your Mercy ?
Our William married a Lydia Dinah FRANKLIN in August 1854 in Melbourne.
Any information on the parents of William and Ann BRIDGES and their movements after Fulbrook would be appreciated.
Regards
Doug in Tasmania
