| My name is Sarah. I was born on August 12, 1980 in Abington, Pennsylvania. My parents are still married, which seems worth mentioning in this day and age. I have a younger brother and sister. My older brother passed away on 12/23/02. My family is the most important thing in my life. I had a fairly normal childhood in which I attended fairly normal schools, except the whole medieval-gifted-program thing in middle school and the shootings in high school. I'm not normal. But who is? I received a B.A. in English (concentration in nonfiction writing and publishing) from the Univeristy of Florida. I minored in Anthropology and Teaching English as a Second Language. I'm a teacher. High school language arts. I teach at an inner city school. It's not like Dangerous Minds or Lean on Me, but it's certainly no Saved by the Bell or Dawson's Creek, either. My students make me old and keep me young, all at the same time. I like debating over random topics of occasional importance, thinkers, my turtles (Quickfoot and Franklin), coffee ice cream, my Mazda3 hatchback!, singing/dancing in my car, "bubble" tea, the Beatles, Madonna (old and new), the Red Hot Chili Peppers (old and new), margaritas, margarita-flavored jelly beans, chocolate!, searching for Truth, games (card games, board games, crane games, the squirt-gun-race game at theme parks, computer games, video games, etc., etc.), diet vanilla coke, gel pens, traveling, movies (except scary ones), the Food Network, ROLLERCOASTERS! , grapefruit slices (I mean the candy, but I like the actual fruit too), laughing til my tummy hurts, surprises, and asking/answering questions--among other things.
