Well the road journal idea didn't really work out. Here is a map of our trip though. We went from the Johnson's house in LA across the border to Arizona passing through Pheonix. It was cool because we got to see lots of cacti, and neither of us had been to Arizona or the desert before. We stayed a night in Tuscan and tried to go over to Mexico in the morning, but we weren't able to because it was Sunday and we couldn't get this paper we needed. So then we stayed right at the border and then went over the next morning through the border inspection and everything. The drive was beautiful and it was cool to see some awesome sunsets. That day (since it took us four hours to get across) we only made it to Hermosillo. The next day we drove to Matzatlan and stayed the night there (its not on the map) Then the last day of driving was a long 6 or 7 hours to Guadalajara!! Its great to be here, and expect updates once in a while.
