| El Malpais is a new national park that is about as fresh as it gets. There are 25 miles of lava tubes, no walkways, no ramps, no entrance fees. It's a caver' paradise. We will go back with equipment and explore, perhaps we will find the bodies of the people posted on the park entrance simply as "lost." Scary... |
| The birds allow you to get so close that you can get your lens right up in their face. I got about 6 inches from this ones beak and snapped a picture as it jumped away. I thought it might peck at my lens, or my finger, so I was a little nervous. |
