This Page (like it's friends)  is for Food, We are an Inn after all. Since The Unicorn is fictional, you'll have to make the food yourself, but this way your home kitchen can become an outpost of the Unicorn Kitchen. We don't  guarantee these Recipies, we will try to let you know if we have tried them ourselves and what we think, but that is the best we can do. HOT roast beef sandwich
2 Slices whole wheat Bread
4 Slices Roast Beef
1 Slice Swiss Cheese
1 Slice Provalone
1 Piece of letuce as big as the bread
1 handfull (about 1/4 cup) baby spinich leaves
1 Slice Tomato
1/8 cup Sliced onion
diced Red and/or green Peppers
1 Shake parmasan cheese
1 sprinkle Black Pepper
1 TBS Mayo
1 Tspn favorite Salad Dressing, and/or olive oil, and/or Vinigar
kethup, mustard to taste.

On one of the Slices of Bread, Lay out the meat and Cheese.(but NOT the sprikle cheese)
Put the Loaded and the unloadwd breads in a toaster oven, on light Toast mode and toast. watch to make sure the cheese dose not burn, you want it to melt, but not burn .
When it comes out of the oven spread the thicker condiments on the unloaded bread. Add vegies in a pile on top of the melted cheese, sprinkle the remaining ingrediants on the vegies, and close the sandwich. Slice if desired, and serve imediately.
HINT: This method works with other meats and Cheeses, feel free to play around.)

Home Made Mocha
(This is a favorite of the Management. )

1 cup of Regular Home brew coffee
2 Heaping TBSP CoaCoa Powder
1 Tspn Cinnamon
1 Tspn Vanilla
Creamer and Sugar to Taste

Blend all ingredients together thourouly and enjoy.

other varients include a 1/4 teaspoon anise, or almond flavoring, and the use of flavored creamers such as those from Coffee-Mate. There are also Flavored coacoas and "late" powders that make interesting blends.

Deviations on Macaroni and Cheese:
All of the following would be interesting in Mac and Cheese, not nesciserily at once, but this is to provide insperation:
other pasta noodles: mini Rings, spoked Wheels, rotini, Spirals, Stars, Shells, small pieces of broken Lasania noodles, ramen noodles.

Tuna Fish, peas, corn, moonlight mushrooms, small bits of ground beef or better yet ground turkey. Ground itallian sausage, peparoni, diced red and or green pepper, chopped cellery sticks, carrots.

Other Cheeses, Provalone (stringy, but why not?), munster, colby Jack, mozzerella, (also stringy) velveeta,.

If you don't mind cholesterol, try using real butter and condensed milk in your cheese blend.


This is a home Variation of the way Chuck E. Cheese does Hot Subs. The Proprioter works part time for CEC. He did a slightly different version of this for lunch recently, and this Represents a wish of how he should have done it, but It probobly tastes pretty good.
