Game Info
-The Lord of the Rings series has been nominated twice for best picture of the year.  Now the game is being recognized as a high quality action game.  You play as Aragorn, Legolas, or Gimli in over 10 levels from the movie.  Plus, the game includes extras like cast interviews and making of the game.

Gameplay: B+
It's nothing original, but it's high quality hack & slash.  There's dozens of combos you can buy with your experience points earned after beating a level.  Each character has a different feel to them, like Legolas who is fast and very good with arrows, or Gimli who is slow but great at powerful attacks, and Aragorn who is a mix of the two.  The levels include Mines of Moria and the Plains of Rohan.  All are very different and have a wide assortment of enemies.  Bigger bosses include trolls which wield huge clubs.  Inbetween missions, there's scenes from the movie blended with game cut scenes.  They all look quite nice.

Graphics: A-
You feel like in you're in the movie so much, it makes you think back to Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2.  The cut scenes and in game scenes are such high quality also . You'll be surprised all this can fit on a tiny GameCube disc.

Sound: A
Real actors from the movie like Orlando Bloom and Ian McKellen came into EA to do voiceovers.  Plus you get to hear the great instrumental soundtrack from the movie.

Challenge: A-
Some levels are greatly tough even on the easy level.  Helm's Deep is very hard and one of the greatest levels I have ever played.

Replay: C+
Its worst category.  Though it has many unlockables, including a secret character, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers will not last long.  It is a solid rent title.

Overall: 89%
"Perfect movie made into a pretty good game."
