The only dark spot in this place was a laterite quarry, now abandoned, which I immediately identified as the base point of my thesis. I decided to redeem this man  made leftover into a beautiful piece of land befitting its surroundings, as it must have once existed

The site is a abandoned quarried site with variations ranging from 3 to 5.5   meters

SITE PLANNING: The Parking lot is about 200 mts. away from the building which forces a person to walk 'through the dense vegetation, typical of the site. The entrance is through a cave and unexpectedly you arrive in a large visitors court of a subterranean structure, the basic zoning of which comprises of a series of courts and enclosed spaces. This main court is connected to other sub courts located at strategic points, thus achieving the connectivity of built mass as a whole. The Multipurpose hall, Museun:@ Foyer, auditorium simulator opens into their own fore courts and then in to the visitors court.
Intermediate courts ( geodesic dome, mini exercise court) leads in the trail court. Existing rock mass is preserved for trails. As this is situated just in front of the academic block rock- climbing techniques can be demonstrated.

This court has a excessive growth of trees which give shade and keeps the surrounding green.
