| The stirring Once Upon a Time in China theme played as Hung Gar master Wong Fei Hong strode into the arena. He waited for Sagat to finish his Ram Muay before brushing the tail his robe back with his right hand in one fluid motion, extending his left hand, and motioning for his adversary to attack. "Tiger!" A giant fireball erupted from Sagat's two outstretched fists and sped towards Wong Fei Hong, who leaped over it and ran towards the Muay Thai warrior. Sagat braced himself and leaped at his foe, bringing his knee in front. "Tiger Crush!" "Fo Shan No Shadow Kick!" |

| The two blows collided with a force not too dissimilar to Guo Jing's Dragon Subduing Palm and Akuma's Shinku Hadouken. Wong Fei Hong's first two kicks neutralized the force of Sagat's knee. Sagat blocked the next two, but the last three slipped past his guard and created three footprints on his chest. Sagat staggered back but managed to catch Wong with a Tiger uppercut that popped his head back and pushed the two fighters away. Wong nodded to his opponent. "Powerful techniques." Sagat did likewise. "Great kicking skill. I must admit I was not expecting this from a Hung Gar master. Northern Leg and Southern Fists, is it not?" "Styles and clans were meant to better one's skills. however, one should not be restricted by their style, but rather play to one's strengths and strive to be the strongest one can be. Hence my theme song, Man Should Strive to be Stronger." As if on cue, the OUATIC theme played again. "Enough talk. Let's get on with the fight." Sagat blocked a roundhouse and jumped over a sweep. Grabbing his ankles, he landed knees-first in an attempt to crush Wong Fei Hong. Instead, Wong rolled to the side, and Sagat created two impressive dents in the ground before bouncing back up. Wong Fei Hong sidestepped a right cross, backed away from a double uppercut/downward elbow combo, and ducked under a Tiger shot. Unfortunately, Sagat then brought his hands down, grabbed the Kung Fu master(taking a body punch in the process), and began to knee him in the head. The first knee crushed Wong Fei Hong's nose and splattered blood on the arena floor. In the VIP box, the Po Chi Lam crew gasped as they saw someone actually hurt their sifu. Adon watched his former teacher with interest. Meanwhile, in the arena, Wong Fei Hong blocked a second knee. Shifting his legs into a bow stance, he drew both arms back and sent them crashing into Sagat's stomach, knocking the Muay Thai warrior ten steps back. Wiping the blood off his face, Wong Fei Hong stared at his adversary. He didn't remember being hit that hard since his fight with Iron Robe Yim. "No Shadow Kick, Hung Gar Fist. I see what they mean when they say 'Master Wong's skills are unparalleled throughout the martial arts world.'" Sagat growled. "Your skills aren't too shabby yourself." Wong replied. His eyes glowed. Sagat launched a Tiger Uppercut. Wong Fei Hong stepped aside and kicked the Thai in the back, knocking him away. With a roar, Sagat turned. Both fighters rushed each other and began going at it like Tom and Jerry on crack. In the spectator stands, Itchy and Scratchy looked with amazement. The ferocity of Muay Thai matched the iron strength of Southern Fist as the two masters fought. Sagat tried a low kick, which Wong jumped over, and blocked Wong's subsequient flying kick. Stepping back, Sagat threw a high roundhouse, only to have Wong duck under it and knock him to the ground with a spinning back heel kick into the splits. Master Wong jumped over a sweep, aerialed, and brought his leg crashing down like an avalanche. Sagat caught Wong Fei Hong's leg before it could dent his head and was rewarded by a kick from Wong's other leg. TIghtening his abs, he pulled the smaller Chinaman towards him and hit Wong with an elbow that knocked him back. Wong threw a left-right combo, then moved into a left backhand. Sagat parried the blow and placed his left hand on Wong Fei Hong's head. Taking to the air, he delivered an elbow to the top of to Wong's head. Or at least he tried to. "Locking Hands!" Trapping Sagat's wrist between his left hand and his head, Wong Fei Hong bore down on Sagat's left elbow with his right hand. While it did not break Sagat's arm, it did cause his jumping elbow to miss completely. Instead of splitting Wong Fei Hong's skull like a calabash, Sagat took a kick that bounced him up into the air. Sagat turned his head. His eyes widened as he saw what was coming. "Fo Shan No Shadow Kick!" "Tiger Genocide!" The two forces canceled each other out. Both fighters landed on their feet. Wong Fei Hong cocked his head to one side. It had been a long time since he had a fight this good... "Tiger Genocide!" A giant fireball raced towards Wong Fei Hong. Wong jumped over it and rushed Sagat, attacking him with a barrage of fists, elbows, and kicks. Sagat matched Wong's skill with his own ferocity, adding in some knees and grappling to the mix. Wong answered with his 108 Locking and Grasping Hands. Sagat tried a jumping knee, but instead took a full Fo Shan No Shadow Kick to the midsection. WHAPWHAPWHAPWHAPWHAPWHAP *WHAP*! As Sagat staggered back, he noticed another No Shadow Kick coming. At this moment, Sagat tripped on a small rock and fell. The No Shadow Kick sailed harmlessly past. Sagat immediately got back up. Taking advantage of the moment, he managed to hit Wong Fei Hong with a Tiger Uppercut, spun, and delievered an elbow to the face. Jumping up, Sagat hit Wong with a jumping knee. Wong Fei Hong collapsed. The Po Chi Lam crew was speechless. "One! Two! Three!......Nine! Ten! Winner: Sagat!" Just then Wong Fei Hong was beginning to come to. Sagat looked at his former opponent and hesitated. The scar on his chest reminded him what happened the last time he tried to be a good sport. Then he discarded the notion. Reaching down, he grabbed Wong's hand and helped him back up. Wong nodded to the Thai. "Thank you. That was a good match." "Yeah, it was fun. Although you had me quite a few times there. Hey, when you hit me with that cross fist, how do I counter it?" Sagat replied. "Oh, easy. Here's what you do... How do you counter that punch-elbow-continuous-knee-to-the-head combo?" "OK. First, you do this to block the punch, then you do this to counter the elbow, then you do this, slip out of the grab, dodge the knee, and nail him with a flying elbow to the head." "Oh. I see. Well, good luck on your next match." "Meh. It's a month away. Hey, how about hittin' the tavern? I'll buy the first round." |
