The Importance of a Matrix

by Min Byung-Soo
http://www.oocities.org/coolby1987/Importance.html

A matrix is merely a rectangular array of numbers enclosed in brackets. A matrix itself doesn't convey a lot of information. However, when a matrix is used to analyze various engineering applications, it becomes very useful. For example, it can characterize connections in electrical networks, in nets of roads, and so on.

Moreover, if we use calculation schemes of matrices, we can solve various problems related to engineering. For example, we can find out the amount of voltage generated in each resistance of a complex electrical system. Finally, by using a rank of a matrix, we can find out whether a unique solution exists in that system of equations.

In conclusion, matrices are used in various fields of engineering.

One Matrix Begets

by Min Byung-Soo
http://www.oocities.org/coolby1987/Matrix.html

The smell of a matrix is so sharp that after I smell it, my olfactory senses are nullified. The taste of a matrix is so bitter that I can't taste anything after I taste that matrix. For me, touching a matrix is like a blind man touching an elephant. A matrix is like a fog that obscures our sight. The sound of a matrix is so loud that I can't hear anything when I listen to it. One matrix begets a zillion matrices of confused minds.

The Matrix of our World

by Kang Mingu
http://www.oocities.org/rkdalsrn0921/

The Matrix of this world consists of
two different mathematical systems of (martrix) [You] and (martrix) [I].
The product of these two system-forms is (matrix) [Us].
There are no differences between "You" and "I" ...

Even though we are living in different dimensions of this world,
the world we are living in will be expressed as
[You]∞ I ∞ = US.

Community

[a sort of matrix of matrices]

http://user.chol.com/~sh1216/portfolio/3sap.txt

Community...
it has been discussed by numerous people.
its concept, effect, origin, history, whatever...

to me, it's special, cause i'm a part of
Mr. Carlton Johnson's writing workshop,
part of
the 8th wave,
the ivy class,
part of
kmla,
my family,
my nation Korea,
my band,
my room,
.
.
.
the feeling of being included in community.
it has various effects on my mind.

sometimes shameful, bothersome, joyful...
all kinds of
feelings comes into my mind.
but what i regard as the most important is:
Pride.

do you understand?
if you don't, you are not getting
one-tenth of the happiness
that you can acquire from the communities.

Beyond the mundane : Morality (道德)

By Nur Abdur Rashid
http://www.oocities.org/minjokhan/NEWS/Morality.html

Morality is : the Way of Virtue.
The Way is : Naturally flowing from the One Head--Logically, Holystically.
Virtue is: a Value--an Absolute value--centered on
the One heart; an artistic, heartistic order/value
purchased at great cost --10 hearts of value
packed into One heart : Virtue... Its Way : Morality

"The sound of the Matrix is so loud that
I can't hear anything when I listen to it," Byoung-Soo wrote.

Hmmm, I pondered.
Can a being living on a subatomic particle hear our voice?
Do we need a Macrophone (vs a Microphone) to hear God?

Seung-Jik says he can hear God without any mechanism?

"How?" I ask.

"Through Prayer," says he.

"Okay, then *that* is the mechanism.
Prayer, then, is *a* Macrophone by which
we hear God."

Oh God, our Father,
Make us new, and
work through these virgin hearts

that we might be Macrophones
to those who do NOT believe You exist...

that we might be Macrophones
to those who DO believe, but who
can not experience
the ceaseless flow of Your Word, naturally,
from Your Mind's Wisdom
and your Heart's Content.

Let us hear and transmit the fullness
of Y/our Virtue
that all might transcend, collectively,
the matrices of the vulgar;

that all might,
passing through the mundane,
enter into the wholeness of the holy
and sacred communion of Oneness with
Your Heart and Zeal.
Amen.

You times me
creates a Community,
a product in which we
take pride--a marketable Commodity:
A zillion confused minds begetting One Matrix
Born of a New Love, of Virgin Life, of Pure and Rarefied Lineages.

Direction and Directionless-ness

by Jun Dong-Bae
http://www.oocities.org/dbj_tw21/Direction.html

Direction.

The direction of my life.
The direction of human beings.
The direction of the universe. And
The direction through the emptiness.

Generally speaking, the concept of "direction" is quite a subjective but decisive one. If somebody defines some "+" direction, then there appears some "-" direction at the same time, on the opposite side. However, an interesting note is that the meaning of the word "direction" can be extended over and beyond the limitation of its literal definition--a definition given by human beings, who restrict its scope, especially when they apply the concept to themselves, or more clearly, to their life.

In the world of our humanity, there exist various directions, but they are not "+" or "-" directions. Each of them has its own color or characteristic, so each characteristic represents what values people emphasize in a certain direction. In some aspect, those directions are the various ways and the paths which show the whole totality of the scenes of a life--rather than direct us toward a certain target. Free from 'the target' and 'the' end, the paths have their own meanings and values in the process of enlargement and the these meanings and values, themselves, overcome the determined range.

[Mr.Johnson's notes, in response] about

"Directionless-ness" : (1)
Living by/in default; living guided by the spirit;
by internal/external winds of change?

"Directionless-ness" : (2)
"Supra-directional" beyond direction ;
"Frequency" versus "range" ;
"Intensity" and "vestiges" thread the fabric of our consciousness.

Futures

[intensities of vestiges... un-done, un-come, un-now]
By Shin Ji-Ho
http://www.oocities.org/joeshin1019/future.html

My future
I have no plan for my future... at least for now.
Then what do I plan to do from now on?
First, I want to grow up.
I want to be a man I was meant to be, destined to be.

I have lost myself quite some time ago... or maybe
I've never had myself at all throughout life.
Do I, because of this, hate my parents? who have brought me up,
me, an only son, with their such... boundless love and care?
Well, I believe I once did... and probably still do.

These days, to grow up as a man,
I've cut my connection, communication with my parents.
I haven't seen them for about 2 months... And when I did see them,
it was but for a few hours, for I told them to leave...
I didn't want myself being a wrong person... being a wrong character,
with a wrong personality. I hated the prospect so badly...

So I, the boy who has been telephoning his father
nearly 5 times a day, now barely speaks with him,
for only a few minutes, maybe once a week.

The day before yesterday,
I watched the movie, Blades III.

By Bae Min-Soo
http://www.oocities.org/legehero/2005/BladesIII.html

... In the real world, I know that there are no vampires. However, I do not know that for sure. I know that South Korea and other democratic countries are the one who hold scythes and scales. However, I am not sure whether North Korea is really an evilike country or, as a most sincere Mr.Bush has said, whether it is an "axis of evil" or not. I know that history we learn is true but not sure whether it is a hundered percent truth. I am caught in such a condition as a paradox. I am not sure of anything. I am the one in the oblivion who is under the dark age without any enlightenment. I can not pierce through the real truth. just like in statistics where there is nothing that is truly one hundred percent. Maybe the expression, 'I know' should be changed into 'I believe'. Further, what most people believe to be fact is not necessarily truth, since most of us believe in democracy which urges us to follow the decision of the majority. Then, the phrase 'I believe' and 'I know' become interchangeable.

My argument might be, and surely will be, undermined at its essence; when someone points out that democracy itself is a policy, rule, system, and theory made by human for convenience in order for us to say 'I know' instead of saying 'I believe'. However, I am sure that many prominent sages including Socrates, Jesus, Buddah and Confucius believed in the general social customs of the age while still pursuing their goals, while not having any trouble between 'I believe' and 'I know', while not knowing everything happening in the world. That is why, I, in the enlightenment-void stage, also should believe in social belief of democracy and thus, for convenience, will use' I know' instead of 'I believe.'

On Vectors

[plain and simple... (?)]
By Ko Jeong-Hoon
http://www.oocities.org/terran_newbie/home.htm

Vector and scalar, like siblings;
scalar with only magnitude
but vector with directions
and also some attitude

Vector space, that infinite void, expands from
two dimension into three, four, five;
continues into numbers no one can fathom.

|a + b| <= |a| + |b|, but
|a + b|^2 + |a - b|^2 = 2(|a|^2 + |b|^2)...
then pop!
it is time to stop.

Vector Space Ships

by Yang Seung-jik
http://www.oocities.org/kmlatoyer/index.htm

When they are old enough
the young captains build their ships
ships that will be ridden
to set sail out on the sea of life
Off to find each their own treasures.

Some will ride on a cruiser
big and strong, but hard to control.
Some will ride on a small row boat
small and rickety, but convenient.
As for me, I'll make the biggest, strongest and meanest ship
EVER.

Oh, don't blame me for being greedy
nor compliment my ambition.
Because my ambition is just like everyone else
to find those treasures!
But please don't blame the row boats for their pasivity
nor envy them for their easy life... ...

For the treasure boxes and pots of gold
which all of us try SO badly to find
has nothing to do with What our ship is,
but WHERE we go.
