Tucker arrived at
Mirthaven from Nancy Walton of Wildrose
Shetland Sheepdogs at the tender age of six months. Shortly after, Tucker took a couple of
weekends to travel with his friend and handler, Dona Williams. He received his first
points at eight months of age under Breeder/Judge, Katie Gammil. Tucker then
experienced the "yearling yucks" and was kept at home for a while.
After aquiring his "formal attire", he came back out in gentlemanly fashion
and won three shows back to back in Montgomery, AL, including one day under
Breeder/Judge, Kathy Wilkins. His next shows were Greenville, SC. Thank you, Dona, for
everything!! :-)
Other accomplishments include
winning Stud Dog Class at the Combined Specialty of Atlanta under Breeder/Judge, Barbara
Linden (with me,handling! :-) Tucker obtained his CGC Title Sept. 17, 2000 in Asheville,
NC, again, with me!!:-) After three runs (in the pouring rain and mud!) Tucker
received his Novice Agility Title. Tucker's first
qualifying run was a first place on Easter Sunday (my chocolate egg! :-)) Two more runs in
Michigan, two more firsts to NA on Sun, April 22, 2001!!
Tucker is the proud sire of pointed
get, including Champion Wildrose My Cowboy Hero - "Walker"
-owned and handled by Marty and Michelle Miller, Thunderhill Shelties. He also is the
proud sire of "The
Pocket Rocket"-owned and handled by Tracie Franke.
We have several Tucker youngsters
growing up at Mirthaven. These include Mirthaven
One Way Ticket-"Logan".who is
currently in training with Tammy @ AgilityDreams; two Tucker daughters, "Merry" and "Rose"
out of "Ivy", a
Champion Jade Mist Beyond
Tradition, ROM, ROMC daughter. Also, included are a Champion Crystalove Spellbound
granddaughter, "Olivia",
our first "try".
Tucker is a natural herder
"down on the farm" with his kids following in his footsteps. The best part about
Tucker is that he is a happy, wonderful, loving part of our family-a true gentleman and my
constant companion whom is dearly missed when he's away, by all his humans. I am soo glad
he likes to get those titles fast! :-)
