| ×Judging× Members have the opportunity to judge many different kinds of animals and agricultural based objects, which broadens the horizons for many members who are only knowledgeable about one project. The animals/objects we usually judge in the North Fraser District are: - Rabbits - Beef -Horses - Dairy - Swine - Sheep - Goats - Dogs - Hay There are many other projects that members can judge, we just don't have clubs with those projects in the North Fraser District. When judging there are 4 projects of the same class (ie. rabbit) and the members have to place the animals 1,2,3,4 according to what the animal is being judged for, ie. fur, meat, show, etc. Members also have to give reasons for why they placed the #1 animal over the #2 animal. Senior members have to give oral reasons to the official judge in their own project along with the class of hay. There are many travel opportunities for senior members if they become proficient judges, such as South Coastal Judging Rally. If you place at South Coastal you may be able to attend the National Judging Rally in Saskatchewan at the Agribition. |
