Mr Sparkle was formed on November 14 1999 in a basement which contained an electric guitar, a small amp, drum set, a gentleman named Jackson and a gentleman named Matthew. Finding that music was the clear road to financial and spiritual success, these two otherwise untalented individuals decided to pursue their musical endeavours. Within three months after the first songs were written the band had more than enough gear needed to hold up an act, including a bass player. The original line up consisted of Jackson-Guitar, Matt-Drums and Jp Lancaster-Bass. In late 2000 Jp Lancaster left for religious reasons and Colin P O'neill took his spot. In Februrary 2001 Colin left after little more than a year in Mr Sparkle's left stage area. The band was bassless for the longest two weeks of this decade. One day... a Saturday, Steve Fallis joined the band after selling enough coloured vinyl to buy himself a bass guitar. After one of the best summers of rock and roll to live, Steve announced his leaving the band in spring 2003. In June 2003, Mr. Sparkle announced their end was coming, but that there would be at least one last show before a long hiatus explained in the news section. For this they recruited Henrik Braun, a gentleman on exchange from Germany who would most definately provide the rockingest bass imaginable. We are Mr. Sparkle. |
