Chapter Four

Some parts of Reikai are broken. Many are injured. It is all, my fault.

"YOU MUST GO OUT OF MY SIGHT NOW!" he ordered angrily. His nostrils are steaming with anger. "HINAGESHI ACCOMPANY HIM! NOW!"

"Yes sir!" Hinageshi exclaimed and grabbed me out of that atmosphere.

"Koenma-sama, what did you do there?" Hinageshi asked curiously. "Why did Enma-sama flare up again?"

"It’s a long story," I uttered. "You will not understand me."

"Oh…" Hinageshi gave me a doubtful look but she continues to soar.

He was punished roughly, but why? Did it have something to do with me? I don't like the sound of it!

"Well," Hinageshi grinned as we reached the entrance of my room. "This is it. I will leave you now, Koenma-sama. Ja!"

"Yeah," I agreed gratefully. "Thanks!"

Seeing my bed, I have nothing else in mind but to stumble there. I…I feel so helpless. I can't even move freely, thinking the girl that I don't love. On the deepest of all abyss, there she stays…Princess Marina, daughter of the oceans.

Mysteries in her eyes are unsheathed. She sometimes reminds me of Hiei-sama. Quiet and Still. Her body is perfectly made and she is a virgin…there is no reason to hate her, right? I don't hate her I just feel I'm not so relaxed with her. Something in my mind bothers me whenever I see her…I don’t know why…

"Ayame!" Botan clamored as she carried her on her oar. "Ayame-san! Please! Please wake up! You are gonna be all right!"

George who is following them complained. "This thing won't happen if Koenma-sama didn't complain the 'offer'?

Botan ceased for a while and stared directly to George with her eyes bigger than usual. "What do you mean, George-san with the 'offer'?

"Well," he started in a huff. "Let's run first this is somewhat a long story!"

"Got it!"

Reaching the Reikai's official medical clinic. Botan laid Ayame on a bed carefully. And outside she knelt on her knees and prayed solemnly.

"Like a desert flower she grows strongly

To the fields where water is dear

And if my life is my offer to see her smiling

 I would whole-heartedly give it to you…"

"Botan," George called. "Are you finished?"

"Yes," Botan beamed gracefully, then she taken to heart Ayame. "I just feel sorry for Ayame-chan." her smile broke into flows of disconsolation.

George patted her back with concern. "Yeah. Reikai won't be like this…"

"Say, how about the 'offer' you are mentioning minutes ago?" Botan asked.

"Well quite confusing, really," George commented. "But well here goes nothing. Koenma-sama's birthday is coming, right?"

"Yes," Botan approved. "Then what is the relation of that to this dilemma?"

"Let's see," he said. "In the tradition of the royal family of Reikai, the Prince like Koenma-sama must enter the matrimonial state when he reached the age of 1000. He will be 1000 old on the next blue moon right? For short words…marry anytime soon!"

"Marry?" Botan asked excitedly, blushing a bit. Getting along with George's story. "Then? Then?"

"Well, he must marry a very distinguished maiden," George continued eagerly. "A maiden from one of these elements: Fire, Wind, Water, Air and Sky. And this year the element of water is chosen…"

"What do you mean?"

"Well," George proceeds. "She is a daughter of the ocean, Princess Marina. Koenma-sama is not happy about it so he refuses to his father…"

Botan's face turned down and narrowed her eyes with disappointment. "I just thought," a tear rolls again from here eyes.

 "Thought what?"

"Nothing!" Botan obviously denied. "I just don't know that Koenma had a…problem like this. Ha! Ha! Ha!"

"Is that so?" George suspiciously asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing!" George shook his head. But deep inside he thought: "Is my thoughts right? Does she like Koenma-sama? And what if she does? Something wrong will eventuate! Uh-oh! Poor Botan-chan!"

"George! The doctor told us that Ayame will be fine!" Botan exclaimed.

"Yeah. Right."

Later that night, Botan was preparing herself for sleep. She was not wearing that pink kimono anymore instead she was wearing a purplish nightgown.

"This isn't true!" she wept bitterly. "She was marrying other girls beside me! How could he? He told me love me with all of his life! Liar! You promised that! You promised!"

She lay herself in her comfortable bed but it didn't seem a bit comfortable anymore. She didn't sleep a wink. Her heart was all alone in bed. She gets wrenched, twisted in her blankets. Turning and tossing seems for endless her emotions are strong. But nothing happened. "I know I can't move on!" she groaned angrily. "All thanks to him!"

Half-passed from the stroke of midnight, she finally made it to her slumber. Her entire body is twined with piles of blankets. Probably its questionable on how she slept, probably with her grievous tiredness. Then unknown to her, Koenma was just behind her door, waiting for her to sleep. Slowly he crept down to her.

Koenma held her slender chin lightly. "She is so beautiful," he thought lovingly. Then he bends down his head and kissed her deeply and erotically. "Aishiteru…" a tear rolls down his eyes. "I know you can't hear me…but you knew this…"

At a leisurely pace he let her slid out of his fingers and it somewhat breaks his heart. "I would pay anything. Just to be with you…until the end of time…"

He lay down too in her bed where his beloved lay. "For a while I lay down with you, a lifetime was given. Just seeing your shadow is enough for my happiness…" he then fell asleep too.

3'o clock came Botan suddenly woke up from her nightmare. She got up and looks around her and saw the person whom she believes the most resplendent person from all the worlds she's been. He was sleeping soundly.

She blushed. "What is he doing here?" she offended thought.

Grabbing a baseball bat under her bedstead, she positioned it directly towards Koenma.

"Get ready!" she hissed angrily. She was about to strike Koenma.

"Botan-chan?" Koenma asked while he was asleep. "Don't move much. You'll get tired easily tomorrow…"

Hearing those words, she dropped baseball bat to the floor and grinned, touching his cheeks. "He comes here…to visit me…even though he's a big liar! Koenma-sama…Gomen ne…"

Koenma then move to another side of the bed, transforming into his child form and snored powerfully.

"Oh…" Botan as quietly as possible squealed. "How cute! I guess he meant no harm! Except I guess no one can sleep peacefully with him. Yawn…"

And with those words, she again dozed off to sleep…

6' o clock in the morning came Koenma woke up.

"I guess," He stared at her longingly. "She woke up. I will never change my teenage form if she never touches me."

He stood up.

But then the doorknob revolved.

"Botan-chan…" a female voice called. "Botan…wake up! I'll enter now!"

"The mistress of all Reikai Ferry Girls! Sakura!" Koenma nervously thought and sweat dropped. Where shall I go? If she find me here I'll be a dead person for she's the number one assistant of my father…"

The door opened and a beautiful girl with a long blush-rose hair girl stood shockingly by it.

"Koenma…sama!" she cried. "What are you doing here?"
