Five
"Koenma-sama!"
Mistress Sakura asked nervously, trembling touching her lips. "Wh--What are
you doing here?! Your father Enma-sama…he will…"
"Please
don't…"
"You're
having an affair with a Ferry Girl like me," she shrieked, tears run down
from her eyes. "You know it is forbidden!"
"Please
calmed down Mistress Sakura," Koenma anxiously begged. "Let me
explain…"
She
pressed the Reikai emergency button located on Botan's door.
Oops…too
late…
All
the Reikai Onis, Ferry Girls and other workers panicked. Rumble and stampedes
was heard everywhere. Moving towards Botan's room.
Noise
waked up Botan and she aroused from her deep slumber. "What's
happening?" she yawned. The vision of Koenma and Sakura was first caught
into her sight.
"Koenma-sama!"
she burst out. "Mistress Sakura-san!"
"Botan!"
Koenma
gave a disappointed look.
"Koenma-sama?"
she nervously asked approaching him. "What is wrong?"
"Everything
is wrong!" Mistress Sakura abruptly responded, pointing towards her.
"You are having an affair with a Reikai royalty! You know it banned! You
must pay for it…"
"I
don't have a private concern with Koenma-sama I---"
Mistress
Sakura clapped her hands to her ears and shut her eyes. "Say no more! I saw
him lying on your bedstead." She argued, screaming. "I saw it all! How
can you explain that?"
"I---"
tears blurred her eyesight.
"See?
You have nothing to say!"
"There's
no way out now…" a drop of tear fell as he transformed to his teenage
form. "We are apprehended…"
"No
this is not happening!"
Subsequently,
Reikai defenders reached Botan's room. They are all armed, carrying spears,
shotguns and all sorts of weapons.
"Mistress
Sakura!" their leader asked anxiously. "What's the fuss?"
"He
slept on Botan's room." she regularly answered.
"So?"
he asked. "He just slept on her---wait a minute…they are having an
affair! That's one of the biggest crimes of Reikai. Men get them and dump them
to Enma-sama…"
Six
Reikai soldiers were determined to enter the room of Botan. The first three
walked away with Koenma and handcuffed him.
"Let
me go you creeps!" Koenma cried.
The
first one cleared his throat and uttered: "I am sorry, Koenma-sama. But
this things cannot change."
Koenma
gazed at Botan who was in hands of three other soldiers. She didn't speak a word
but she went on weakly with them. On her eyes, tears blurred her vision but she
went on through. She seemed so frail and helpless that even the heartless of all
the troops affectionately pitied her and threw away Botan's handcuffs. Koenma
shut his mouth too, seeing his beloved. Emptiness surrounded their hearts.
Tremble
That
is the thing I do whenever I see you
Fear
For
I will loose your love so sweet and true
Heartache
A
sickness which heeding you is the only cure
Coldness
Whenever
I hear the word Aishiteru
Botan thought deeply as she walked carefully by the red carpets along Reikai. Whispers and pities those things are frequently heard as she walked by. Humiliated but she continue to move on straightly whenever she see Koenma.
Death
is sweeter my dear
It
maybe odd but truthful
All
I can offer are tears
For
this life is only pitiful
I
can swim the deepest oceans
I
can reach the highest mountains
If
I can see you I'll sacrifice anything
Because
angel you’re my everything
Koenma
thought while he strolled quietly with Reikai soldiers. He might be the first
royalty embarrassed. He might be the first royalty to go into like this…but in
his heart he was the first to love deeply and sincerely. That is probably the
greatest thing he has in his soul and he knows it and he was confidentially
proud of it.
Reaching
Enma's forum of justice, heartaches no longer exist because their hearts are
crashed and shattered but each time their stared at each mysterious face it was
mended back.
The
room as disheartening and frigid by reason of people whom stayed there are very
intelligent but they doesn't know the genuine significance of love. Their hearts
are full of distress and hatred but they didn't want to speak about it.
A
gigantic man sat quietly on his throne but his enormous eyes gave a shot of
glare. He too doesn't have a seat of passion. He married but he just kidnapped
the girl from her mother, Ceres. It is more of lust than love. She stayed six
months in his presence and six months to his mother. She got sick of this and
died leaving him with a son. But he never loves him too. This is Enma, lord of
Reikai.
"Alright,"
he began, staring at each people on the forum. "What is it this time?"
Mistress
Sakura stepped in and cemented her knees on the floor. "I saw the Prince
this morning he was…" she paused for a while not knowing to do whether
she will continue or not. She glanced to Koenma, then to Botan then to
Enma-Daioh.
"I
am listening Mistress Sakura…"
"He
was having an affair with Botan-chan!" she cried. "I saw him! I saw
him in her room! If they are not having an affair what is he doing there!"
Lord
Enma gave a Koenma a dirty look. "So?" he spoke harshly. "Koenma,
is Mistress Sakura's complain true?"
"Yes,
your highness," he replied calmly, descending his whole body.
"Mistress Sakura said it well…"
Mistress
Sakura felt so guilty. Her body almost fainted. "I shouldn't say it,"
she thought sorrowfully. "This won't go this far if I didn't say
it…"
"He
was so courageous," Botan and George who is one of the audiences thought.
"To think before he was just a crybaby brat!"
"He
grown up a bit…" George weep candidly. "I never expect now."
"YOU
KNOW YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO HAVE AN AFFAIR WITH A FERRY GIRL!" he roared
louder than the wildest lion. Reikai shook again. "IS THIS DAMSEL THE
REASON WHY YOU REFUSE TO MARRY PRINCESS MARINA?!"
"Yes,
your Grace," Koenma stood up and nodded. "And even if she didn't even
exist, I still don't love Princess Marina. You don't understand this don't you?
Because you don't know how to love! That's why mother died when I was very
young. It's your entire fault!"
Whoops…bad
move she doesn't like to remember my mother Persephone, the goddess of flowers.
I'll be killed for sure!
"STOP
IT!" he commanded. "GET THAT FERRY GIRL AND IMPRISON HER IN
NINGENKAI…BE SURE SHE CAN'T REACH US! DISTINCTIVELY MY SON!"
Well,
Ningenkai isn't so bad. I can talk to Yusuke or Keiko-chan or…but it will just
be the same as an ordinary prison cell. Maybe I can't see him ever again!
At
least she's safe there. I hope Yusuke guards her well…
"The
blue moon is coming," Enma announced. "It is earlier than expected.
You will unite with Princess Marina…whether you like it or not. This case is
FINISHED!"
"This
is a nightmare…" Botan declared.
Later…some
Ferry girls dropped Botan to Ningenkai.
"I
don't want to leave you here Botan-chan but," a Ferry girl confessed.
"It's
okay Ran-chan," Botan weakly smiled. "I know it's your duty…"
"You're
now a Ningen," another Ferry girl uttered. "I'll miss you. But I
promise to…watch over you constantly…"
"Thank
you, Momoko-chan," Botan bowed. "If I die again, will you promise to
fetch me?"
Momoko
burst out with tears. "I will Botan!" she encircled her arms around
her for the last time. 'I promise…I can't wait to rejoin you again! You are
very kind and caring to all of the Ferry Girls like me. I hope you can be a
ferry girl again!"
"I
don't know!" Botan cried. "But one thing is for sure…I'll yearn for
you all."
"Oh,
Botan-chan!" Ran exclaimed as she joined to Momoko's farewell drama.
"We'll wait for you…"
"I
guess Mistress Sakura is looking for both you now," Botan suggested,
pushing them both away. "You know every three second, somebody die on this
world. You better go now!"
Botan
looked way dashed as fast as she can with broken soul, heavy heart and confused
mind as she bid her last farewell to her ferry girl friends. She knew that once
she looked back from them, she would be a helpless human with no special power
but her mind. She clearly knows it. But she must leave. She ran through the
street to the corners and walls of Tokyo trying to find her fortunateness. As
she strolled to the park she collapsed with tiredness. Luckily, a short man
clothed with black picked her up.
"Hn." he expressed, carrying her to a corner. "What is it with Botan again?" he thought. "Her chi is all missing. Wonder what happen…"
Later…
"Uh…"
Botan woke up, rubbing her purplish red eyes. "Where am I?" She
studied the location and found out she was on the top of a tree. "Whoa! How
did I get here…"
"I
saw you lying helplessly on the ground dummy," the short man spoke up.
She
turned back and saw a man leaning on the tree. She remembered how she got scared
of him often and how he powerfully controlled his Black Dragon. "Hiei-san!
It's been a long time since I didn't see you!"
"I
know," he nodded in a crabby voice. "Tell me Botan…where is your
power now?"
"I…"
and she narrated her story.
*****
"I
wonder if she have eaten something now," Koenma sadly thought of Botan as
he stared up downheartedly up the fluffy rolling clouds. "Oh, Botan-chan. I
miss you so much…"
Somebody
knocked at his door.
"Come
in!" Koenma cried.
He
turned to the door and saw a gorgeous goddess standing.
"Ma---Marina-hime!"
*****
"So
that's what happened I was thrown in this world," Botan melancholy
finished. "But I still miss him…"
"Hn.
Love…it's a killer…"
"I
know," Botan agreed. "But it feels so good too."
They
then both shut their mouths.
*****
"Marina-hime
what are you doing here?" Koenma asked.
"I
was sent by your father, your highness," she quietly responded.
"Just
call me Koenma, please…"
"Okay
then Koenma," she smiled. "Please to meet you. Just call me
Marine…it's quite shorter that way that Marina-hime…"
"Right,"
Koenma chuckled as she shook hands with her.
*****
"That
is why I hate that love,"
"What
did you say Hiei-chan?"
"Nothing…"
"You
know something about love, don't you?"
"Nothing
except it’s a killer," Hiei answered as he stared at the sun's colorful
rays. "I remember Rui's story about my old woman. After I was thrown away
when I was I an infant she killed herself because she loves me according to her.
Sheesh! She shouldn't done that!"
Botan didn't spoke a word comprehending Hiei's story. "It is hard," she meditated as she stared at the sunset. "To love another. Probably that's why Hiei is cold-hearted and hardheaded…Now I understood him…"
