Daisy came to live with us after having belonged to a magician! Consequently we were not sure of her age. She was incredibly tame when she first came to live with us and remained the gentlest and most affectionate of all our bunnies. We have wondered whether she had been the subject of rough treatment as she used to submit so readily to people, but since the arrival of her brother Bramble she become more bunny wise and independent. Daisy adored having cuddles and would at times be held for up to an hour when something bunny good was on t.v. She was used to living outside but didn't suffer from being a house rabbit. Daisy only suffered one illness whilst living with us. Her only visits to the vets were to receive her boosters and have her manicure. Daisy, I am sure, would haved loved to have gone more often as she always got lots of attention and cuddles off the lovely receptionists.
After Bramble died we kept a close eye on Daisy. She had been a very chubby and strong doe but she began to lose weight. We weighed her regularly and there was a slow loss. Daisy appeared to be eating normally and still appeared healthy but you just don't what's going on inside. Then Daisy developed a head tilt like Raggy had done and she had an ear infection. We were very hopeful as Raggy had recovered so well. But Daisy didn't recover. She was very wobbly on her legs and so would stand not moving and seemed very listless, just staring. The vet said it would have been like the room revolving for us when we feel dizzy. We couldn't let Daisy suffer as she just wasn't getting any better and so the vet put her to sleep. When the sun shone Daisy loved to frolic and laze about. Daisy was a princess amongst bunnies, loved by everyone!
