Averaged 20.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game…finished the season ranked 25th in scoring, 26th in steals per game, 35th in minutes per game (37.0) and 36th in free-throw percentage (.821)…scored 20 or more points 42 times, scored 30 or more points nine times and tallied 40 or more points three times…grabbed 10 or more rebounds 12 times…recorded 13 double-doubles…led the Wizards in scoring 36 times, rebounding 16 times, assists 25 times, steals 32 times and blocks 13 times…clinched his position as the NBA's all-time points per game leader (30.12) at Miami (4/11)…scored 26 points and had 10 rebounds for his 200th career double-double at Cleveland (4/8)…scored 22 points and had a season-high 14 rebounds at Atlanta (4/2)…scored 39 points and had eight rebounds in his final game at Madison Square Garden (3/9)…scored 43 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, becoming the oldest player and only player age 40 or older to score 40 points in an NBA game vs. New Jersey (2/21)…scored 23 points and had a season-high 12 assists at L.A. Clippers (2/12)…scored a season-high 45 points vs. New Orleans (2/1)…passed Wilt Chamberlain to become NBA's third all-time scorer by scoring his 31,420th career point at New Orleans (1/22)…scored 41 points and had 12 rebounds vs. Indiana (1/4)…was the only Wizard to play in all 82 games.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • February 21, 2003 The only player aged 40 or more to score 40 points in an NBA game.
  • January 4, 2002 Facing his former team for the first time, Michael Jordan wasn't about to let them off easy as he scored 19 of his 29 points in the second quarter and reached 30,000 points for his career.
  • January 24, 2003 - Michael Jordan made six of his first 10 shots and moved past legendary Wilt Chamberlain for third on the all-time scoring. He finished the game with 18 points, giving him 31,424 for his career.
  • March 3, 2003 - Wizards swingman Michael Jordan was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week today following a 3-1 week in which he averaged 24.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
