About me:
I have been a scale modeler off and on for over 30 years, and a member of my local modeling club for over 10 years. I started these disposal lists by obtaining items for and from club members in trades with various sources, notably fellow modelers in the former East Bloc countries. As many members of the club were in the military or did other sensitive work, they could not correspond with modelers from these countries, and as a result the only way they could obtain Eastern European models was to pay collectors' prices. I offered to do their trades for them, and over the years I accumulated a large number of kits, books and other items from many different sources. Several years ago, I made these items available to the general public through the Internet.
When I originally published this site on AOL I had hoped only to dispose of my items. The response was so overwhelming that I have decided to keep refreshing the list periodically. As a result I also purchase collections of kits, books, decals and detail items. If you are in the continental USA and there is something you wish to sell or trade, feel free to contact me. I will make you a reasonable offer for your items.
I emphasize that I am not in this as a business. My site is here to help you, my fellow modelers, by making hard-to-find items available to you at prices you can afford. If you have any old kit catalogs, mail order lists or price guides you no longer need, I can use them in my research. I will be happy to reimburse the postage you paid by either cash or credit.
